What a stunning, wholesome, and wildly endearing concept.
This heartwarming and precious game is a life safer for some while being comfy background for others, but either way a worthwhile experience with a very slight barrier to entry.

This game is a beautiful way to bridge the gap between people in the world we live in, especially with the last couple years we've had. Popcannibal could have never known what would happen after this game came out but it has done so much for so many people. I played it the first time in December of 2019 on Twitch with my community to bring us together and help people through big emotions around the winter holiday season. Feelings of loneliness, abandonment, all the things that make what is sold as the happiest time of the year or such a joyous time for so many to be so unbareably hard for many who don't experience that light during that season... I thought it'd be cute and kind of nice for a little while and it became a habit within the community for a while. We'd open streams with it especially on days with big emotions so that we could process and offer kindness to others together. And while we don't do that all the time anymore, this game offers me a kind of peace that I could only ever hope others get to experience as well.

The only NPC in this game, Ella the Mail Deer, is absolutely adorable and I love the soundtrack.

The screensaver functionalities and the different bedrooms, and decorations, and ways you can set the void/starfield to look are all very lovely.

It can be hard to know what to expect when you find out that you are just reading prompts, writing letters to, and sending/catching paper airplaces with notes on them with real world strangers - but there is some kind of magic in that.

There is something really healing about both sending messages to strangers with whatever spoons I have, to show them kindness and empathy expecting absolutely nothing - not even a response - in return. You may get a sticker back as a thank you, but I don't do it expecting them from everyone. As well as getting some of the most genuine, kind, empathetic and compassionate messages I may ever have receive from unknown human souls I may never interact with again who are truly just trying to put some extra light in the world.

The experience is only $5, a cash barrier to deter people who may use it for ill and get banned out permanently. If you want to support others or maybe need support, if you are going through a hard time yourself or know someone who has, this game is truly a life saver for some people and I find its existence immeasurably a net good for humanity.
