This DLC and update break the game. DO NOT BUY IT.

I played a campaign for 7 hours, the next day I go to load my game and all I see is a blank map with no countries on it. Because I'm over 2 hours with this DLC I can't refund so i'm stuck with this crap..

After nearly 8 years you would think they would know what they are doing.

Probably the best VR game so far.

The game just randomly throws enemies at you all the time from no where. Its not especially hard its just really repetitive dull gameplay. I'm refunding. The game is style over substance. The screenshots look great but the gameplay is weak.

Abandoned by useless devs. Avoid anything made by these guys in future.

Best strategy game in years. Lots of DLC that is worth picking up but vanilla game is perfectly fine. It makes games like Civ5 unplayable to me because nothing can compare to its depth. It really makes you feel like you are managing a nation. Wars can be fought not just to expand your territory but for many other things like religion and trade or coalition wars to stop one nation getting too strong. After a war you make peace deals where the loser can be forced to release a conqured people, renounce claims, give you war reparations, and many other things. Sometimes in war taking as much land as possible is not a good idea as the future rebellions and foreign relations can come back to hurt you. Its a slow paced chill game where you want to plan your every move carefully. My only critizism is that AI nations do tend to follow their real historical path and you will only get major alternate histories with the player's involvement (England winning the hundred years war for example). The recent DLC with the custom nation builder adds massive amounts of replay value, I'm currently playing as Vinland Vikings in Cananda. Overrall its just fantasic, look at my hours.

Its actually ok now after the patches and with the radious mods its a good game. Worth picking up in a sale if you like the battle system. Auto resolve naval battles they are god awful.

The game is fun but I find it lacks content. If you can get a decent set up of mods though it becomes one of the greatest games ever made.

Its not for everyone but if you like learning how things work, some trial and error mechanics and working out problems until something just "Works" this is a good game for you.

Very cool game. Combines RPG leveling, Chivalry type combat and Total War campaign in one game. Highly recommend Prophesy of Pendor mod.

It plays very like 16 bit sonic. If you have nostalgia for those games you will love this. Its far better than recent sonic games. It has the same momentum build up "feel" as those old games which is awesome. It has decent combat, a good range of enemies. I have completed 5 stages so far and there is a good mix of speed and jumping segments including sonic style loops. The boss fights are challenging but not too much. It has a story with dialog and cut scenes, you can skip if you want to. Its a really great game. Especially if you like mega drive sonic but hate the newer games. Best thing I bought this xmas sale easily.
