As someone who grew up playing Zoo Tycoon 1 & 2, as well as all of their expansions back in the day, this game hits that spot and then some. The mechanics can be tricky to get down fully, but once you do, you can make some of the most beautiful zoos you could ever think up. Since day one I've remained astronomically impressed at how minutely detailed you can make things, and still have them function like you'd want them to. The animal AI and graphics are fantastic, really setting each species apart and immersing you in the realism. This is one of those game's I'd recommend getting all the DLC for, to have the biggest selection of animals and building items. If you like park building sims, and more specifically zoo sims, DO NOT SKIP THIS. Frontier really struck gold with this one.

And I will say with complete sincerity that I would have still paid the $60 to get this game even if there was no deal included with the Index.

This game is, in my opinion, the best single-player VR title that currently exists. Not only does it blow the door wide open to continue the Half-Life series, but it also represents a huge milestone in VR gaming. Everything from the visuals and characters, and the callbacks to the original Half-Life in subtle, but extremely recognizable ways, to simple the way the game controls, and how natural it feels to interact with the environments. It's all a true work of art.

If you are lucky enough to own a VR kit, and don't already have this game, DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS. Especially if you own an Index. There is quite a bit of replay value, too, so it won't just be a game cluttering your library years down the line. Unlike a lot of recent VR titles, this game is NOT based around gimmicks or the simple "wow" factor. It REALLY wants you to feel like you are Alyx Vance, and it's you vs. The Combine.

10/10; 5/5; ★★★★★; etc. Whatever rating you want to give it, I give it the highest no matter what. Valve really outdid themselves with this, and I can't wait to see what's next for Half-Life and VR!

Say what you want about ESO, this game is incredible. Despite being an MMO, it very much feels like an Elder Scrolls title. The environments are top-quality, and there is more content than I know what to do with. Even the subscription for ESO+ is totally worth the money. If you like TES, and you like MMOs, give it a shot. It can get complicated, but it's fun every step of the way.
