This is the best looking arena shooter revival I've seen so far, hands down. Not my favorite to play, but DEFINITELY the best looking. It's the perfect mix of 1993 and 2020. Impeccable work. Now if only it was running on KEX or Build or something that doesn't feel like my computer peripherals are wrapped in a safety blanket.

Reboot of Quake III Arena, after Live. If you like classless shooters, rocket jumping around a map, and dying to a glistening in pink enemy after hearing, "ENEMY HAS THE QUAD", then this game is for you.

If you want to prove to yourself that you can go outside once in a while and that you don't live at your gaming desk, then by all means save yourself now and close Steam.

This game is like TF2 mixed with COD, it's got realistic shooting mechanics while still being somewhat cartoony. However, I used to play TF2 a lot, now I play this a lot. If you play TF2 and you are having fun but you are looking for a challenge, then look no further. Even Proxy and Aura are like the Pyro and Scout of TF2. If only I had as many kills as the amount of times I've been killed from Proxy mines.

One of the greatest multiplayer arena FPS's ever made. This game is legendary and I'd hate to think it'd be dead. Luckily some people still play this but if you're looking for a fast-paced, 90s style multiplayer shooter then this is perfect. Or just buy Quake Champions if you need modern graphics.

Back when single-player campaigns weren't just advertisements for good graphics cards and actually required a little skill. That said, this game has nice level design, fun shooting mechanics (especially when you blow the head clean off of an enemy with your shotgun), and a cool slow-motion aspect for when you're really in a pickle. Now, it's no Half-Life 2, which came out a year before and was revolutionary at the time, but the graphics aren't terrible and it can still be played on a potato laptop. I prefer the F.E.A.R. ragdolls though; for a game that boasts its' physics engine, the HL2 combine ragdolls are lackluster.

This is one of those games that will always be remembered as a small masterpiece and is, according to reviews, the only good F.E.A.R. game. (I haven't played 2 and 3, and I actually haven't finished this one yet, I just wanted to write a review because this game keeps bringing me back in)

Oh, and for those of you who get easily scared, there are like only 2 or 3 major jumpscares and the rest is just crazy visuals of stuff like fire everywhere and long hallways and a creepy little girl like the one in The Ring

What I'm saying is, if you like FPS games and don't mind a little horror, and you aren't looking for a graphic demanding game, then go ahead and pick this one up. I'd say it's worth the $10.

You've heard of Quake, right? And probably Unreal Tournament. You know, two of the greatest FPS's ever made. But what about Counter-Strike and Team Fortress and all those games in my library I have 1000+ hours in? Those games were mods of Quake. MODS. Quake started it all. Unreal Tournament was released during the same time. I personally like Quake better.

If you, like me, weren't around during the time Quake was popular and Counter-Strike was just getting started, then give this game a try. It's like UT99 remastered. The new Doom's multiplayer should be like this.

But yeah, enough yammering. They just don't make games like this anymore. And it's free, so download it if you're into arena shooters.
