The only way this game could be better is if the loading screen was Denise Richards staring you down in a sexy flight officer uniform saying "I'm your eagle pilot baby!" Ok, that's not the only thing to make this game better, but that would be awesome for us 90's kids! The game has lots of bugs at this point (lolz). The matchmaking issues are the only thing that make me so frustrated that I want to take a break. But the concepts and mechanics are so fun! If the devs just keep on the path of "fun" and "funny" and then fix the bug problems (lolz) I can't see this game not having longevity like Deep Rock Galactic, etc. The replayability is good. I hope it gets better. I have no idea what the end game looks like however. Speaking of Deep Rock Galactic....they need an equivalent to "ROCK AND STOOONNNNE"! You need a key bind to be able to shout "F YEAAAAA, SUPER EARTH BABY!" after a huge wave. Silently raising a fist after a once in a lifetime epic fight just doesn't do it. Don't underestimate the camaraderie juices that this puts into peoples brains. It's pure gold.

Battlefield 2042 = Call of Duty Modern Warfare incorporated into the Battlefield format. I don't think trying to make the playable characters more interesting and having more abilities, etc is bad. Games must evolve and BF isn't exempt. But, it just feels like they took the easy road and copied Call of Duty in so many areas.

The loading screens and menu navigation is clunky and takes a long time.. just like Call of Duty (and my game is installed onto a NVME SSD). I'm a very busy adult. Waiting for screens to load and load and load is irritating. Especially when contrasted with the smaller studio games I play that fire right up and I'm having fun in seconds. The menu sounds are very annoying. I actually thought my headphones had a short in them for a few minutes until I realized that this was intentional. Just like Call of Duty!

The game isn't fun. I'm not sure exactly why, but I do not get that exciting sense of being in overwhelming combat/battle like I have in past Battlefield Games. It just feels bland and boring.

Grindfest. I'm all about some progression. But, the fact that I start with iron sights and have no guns leveled-up is frustrating. I get into a gun fight, get melted, and then the game shows you that you were out-gunned by high level attachments and a level-up gun. Wow, that was competitive and fun (sarcasm). You're telling me I need to grind like 50-70 hours to unlock everything? Stupid. Just stupid. Just like Call of Duty.

I cannot put my finger on it exactly... but AAA games these days have a "feel". And it isn't a fun feel. The entire game experience feels bloated, slow, and uninteresting. Hey big studios... please, please just focus on games being fun again. Take some of these young people who work for you that have great ideas and actually come up with something NEW AND FUN. Look at Valheim, they simply had a fun idea (not polished, not complicated, not bloated) and it netted them millions! I dream of a day when a major studio finds an idea as good as say, Valheim/PUBG, etc AND also has the resources of a big studio... Oh, to dream... I'm returning this game. EA doesn't deserve my money. They've been trashing this franchise for years.

40k content. What isn't to love?

Fast paced, competitive, skill based, basic, and fun. The player models are a bit strange, the sound is off at times, and there are still a decent amount of bugs. A good base. If they continue to focus on building a quality competitive game this could be a gem. So far, I like it.
