At this point they have removed more stuff than they have added...

RIP diamond ore
RIP crafting tools
RIP old toolbar
RIP grasslands biome
RIP temperature
RIP stackable food
RIP robot and jelly bosses
RIP sectors
RIP ability to repair tools
RIP unique SAIL avatars
RIP mechs[starbounder.org]
RIP minibosses
RIP optimization
RIP unique looking planets
RIP outpost quests (pretty much all outpost npcs used to give you quests)
...

To be honest the game is still enjoyable but the endless amount of glitches, the boring quests, the terrible inventory sorting and cliche storyline kinda ruin it. The space exploration is still there but that's just it.

But you right, the 1.0 kill a big part of the game.

Actually the game is fun... But Hhmmm, what the hell it happened with the evolution of the game ?

We can not kill a PNJ whit the 1.0, you are a "protector" now... What the hell ??!!! I like play badass character in Starbound, now it's "impossible" to play like that...

The quest is SO BORING !!! A BIG part of the game is gone. Now with the survival mod you eat something and it's done. Where is the management of heat ?..

A game is supposed to be funny, not boring. I don't understand why the game was downgrade on many thing.

Actually the game is good but not like before he was on many thing.

Well, when you think about it, from the beginning, Starbound has been reliant on mods, more or less. If you ask me, I think that's the best thing they could have done. Mods keep games running for a good few decades, so maybe Starbound reliance on mods will serve it well in the long-run, aye?
