Somewhat similar to Terra Nil (tho more complex) Frostpunk (arguably better than frostpunk, just because of length of campaign). Tho ultimately this is quite a distinctive unique game.
Not sure why the ratings for this game are as low. Im currently 50% through and enjoying tf out of it. Its a space management/synergy game with a good number of factors out of players control that make it perfectly challenging yet relaxing experience. The UI is pretty great for a 13 bucks game, makes micromanagement much easier and quicker. The gradual unlock of the tech tree and related tech through the campaign is very well placed. This allows you to build a range of colonies using different tech branches. The way campaign plays is that you spend (at least for first 5 planets) about 1/1.5 hours to build your colony from scratch, then move on to the next planet. Great game.

One of the best settlement development roguelikes with overarching progression/competition.

Early Access Review
Lately I got into the habit of purchasing and trying out various roguelike/turn-based/deckbuilder/rpgs (priority in that order) that my mediocre non-gaming laptop could handle. In terms of game mechanics, this is the gem I have been looking for. 16 hour at the time of this review and I only just won my first adventure (after 2 failed attempts - all on hard) and am looking to more adventures. To be fair I got OP late game (but only just - it seems that there is a type of threshold in terms of card synergy that you need to achieve) but there is an endless type mode so I am sure there is a lot of fun to be had there ones I finish all of the adventures. There are also 10 levels of Cataclysm difficulty (which I will not be playing since they just add buffs to enemies it would seem (e.g. +15% hp etc) and I do not want to mess with the game balance). I have only played one adventure so far (and 3 times) and it seems to me that the storytelling is not top-notch (perhaps due to the game being in its early development) but for me it is overshadowed by the fantastic game mechanics and balance. Props to the developers and enjoy!

The day has come. KSP 1.0 is finally out. Big thanks to Squad for their commitment to the project. The game is trully perfect and infinite fun. Moreover, KSP has THE friendliest community. Even minimal involvement will make your KSP experience richer. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Teams like Squad (although they are trully unique) give me faith in the gaming industry.
