peak gaming returns

I was greatly looking forward to this DLC as a long time player of ROR2 and having 100%'d the base game and Survivors of the Void, but the decision-making behind the changes made to the fundamental mechanics of the game is beyond me. Why they would change it in this way is a mystery. I am refunding until there are some changes.

Dark Souls II 2 in a good way. Some enemies, bosses, and areas are pretty bland or overly annoying for a FromSoft game but overall it's a great entry for Souls fans. DLC improves upon base game mechanics and concepts in almost every way as well.

I played this game during the alpha/beta tests. It was charming at first, but now that it's fully released, the difficulty for beginner players is very hard to justify in my opinion, especially if you're not running trios. There are clearly stronger classes than others and the game hasn't really changed that much balance-wise since the testing periods. Also minimal player interaction in its current state. I'd say wait to play it until a few updates go through, or I guess give it a try since you can play for free up to a point.

I really want this to be a good game and have been hopeful for it, but it's frankly not good enough to review positively right now. It is clunky and slow, and while I don't expect it to hold my hand, I wish it didn't push me into a death pit right at the start. solid 4-5/10.

Basically unplayable, even on a strong system. Re-loading shaders for over an hour every time I open the game is not something I'm willing to tolerate to re-experience this.

Never played a mech game. Never was interested in mechs or gundam before Evangelion. Certainly not mech gameplay.

This changed that completely. I will be going back to play the older AC6 games. Gameplay feels mostly fair, the customization is thorough, the story is phenomenal, the voice acting is peak, graphics/optimization are pretty damn good, and the PVP is fun, even though there are some sweats. Overall, would recommend looking into for fans of the Souls series, and gamers in general! It gives a challenge, but definitely not an insurmountable one. Has very fast pacing overall.
