One of my favourite games on Steam, easily. It will usually go on sale so you can pick it up then, but it's worth the money IMO, considering you will be spending literally hundreds of hours playing this game, it's DLC, and the mods made for it.

Mount & Blade: Warband is a "medieval" sandbox that allows you to control an entire army composed of the units of your choosing (there is a wide range) where you are their commander and aspiring ruler of the world (if you choose). You can engage in battles ranging from 10 vs 5 to 800 vs 800 where you are your own player giving commands to your army. This includes open field battle, multiplayer skirmishes, and full castle sieges. The combat is very fun, can be played in both third person or first person, and is fairly challenging.

One of the best things about this game is how moddable it is, you can download tons of full conversion mods that will add hundreds more hours to the hundreds you've already poured into this game. If you get bored of Calradia, you can download a mod and try to conquer Westeros, or any other fantasy world mod developers have created.

Overall, this game certainly offers a lot, is highly entertaining, and is difficult to get bored of. Highly recommended.

Very enjoyable game IMO. Probably one of my favourite RPGS I've played to date. It's very old, so the graphics and such aren't up to par with the newer games, but the storyline and the gameplay more than make up for that. I found the storyline enjoyable to play, and I liked progressing through the game in my own manner. Most things you can do in this game are very fun, and easy to get a hold of.

Complaints include: There isn't any character customization at all, you're stuck with the same man as your character with the same look and same voice and there isn't much class customization either, you can use an axe, or a sword, or a bow, or go two-handed/dual wield. The mobs become considerably harder near the end of the game, as well, even with Titan-level weapons, and armor, the mobs prove to be very challenging, and annoying.

Overall, this game has a fairly old school feel to it and has a lot of fun RPG elements involved, making it one of the most enjoyable RPGS I've played to date. Worth the money, I think.
