If EA cannot let Respawn make Titanfall 2, at least shouldn't ♥♥♥♥ up what's left of its legacy even more.

I just wanted to play together with my gf.
120 gb download, mandatory 3rd party launcher with new account. Forced online matchmaking on the tutorial mission, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of menus. First mission together bugged out, got one-tapped by a level -1 account in the middle of the desert.
All this money, time, resources and talent, and we get obvious cheaters, B class menu design, clunky map, and still no private lobbies in ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 2024.

I'm sure the single player campaign is the greatest thing ever, but the multiplayer is intentionally ♥♥♥♥.

Neat little game. Good story, interesting gameplay loop spiced with tabletop elements. Starting "class" doesn't matter much as you can get decent in every skill soon.
Would recommend getting it on sale.

Same ♥♥♥♥, different coat of paint. But now it's on Steam! So I can finally complain about it.

Warzone 2 is unstable as ♥♥♥♥, crashes are more frequent than it would be acceptable. The game's 300 IQ solution for it is to set your setting to minimum, even if the vram usage was under half capacity.
The menus are horrible, backpack is clunky, battlepass is next to useless as a F2P.
Minor glitches happen every other game, like wrong weapon icons, can't pick up items close to each other, animation ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Last match I deployed a recon drone and my controls in-game (both mouse and keyboard) were disabled.
Speaking of gadgets, a lot of items were nerfed, like claymores can't even destroy armor, heartbeat sensors can't detect people I can hear running around the house directly in front of me, SMGs might as well shoot blanks beyond the range of 15 meters. Camping is still common, as the audience of this game seems to favor moving as much as they do in real life. This is especially a joy at exfil points.
Almost forgot, the way developers seem to innovate is ripping off Tarkov's extraction based gamemode. Your stash is limited to 10 guns that you can't tinker with, a handful of keys that you're never going to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ use, and that's it. Can't save spare armor carriers, revive kits, gas masks, killstreaks, ANYTHING that would make your next deployment easier, you just carry all these over from your last successful mission. I would take WZ 1's Plunder over this ♥♥♥♥ any time.

Chinese free-to-play mobile BR game, ported to PC with little to no effort. Oversized UI that doesn't fit well on monitor, flashy visuals, nauseating amount of lootboxes and cosmetics, low res textures and simple sounds. Gameplay and looting is simple - well, simple enough to be played on a phone.

However, if you enjoy pub stomping mobile players for quick dopamine, give it a try. I'm an average PUBG/Apex player, and I won like 8 out of 10 matches on my first try, with 12+ kills.

Not even 2 hours in, I triple jumped from a tree to a tower, wobbled behind a sniper, said my catchphrase out loud, held my akimbo Glock sideways and dumped 2 full magazines on full auto into his noodle body as my character was beatboxing.

When you can't decide between PUBG or Apex, or just tired of both, play TABG.

Masterpiece.

It's short, yes, but that means every chapter, every line of monologue is in it's place. Doesn't get repetitive, doesn't drag on.
The sequel is longer, has more characters who are very well fleshed out, co-op, level editor and Steam Workshop.

But the witty, dark, deadpan humor and ending song is probably the best there is.

Look, this is a piece of gaming history. It's over 22 years old, of course it aged. But it aged rather well, mostly. Only some parts of it are kind of ass, like ladders, platforming and Xen.

Do play it. It's a grandparent of modern shooters.

Played during free weeking, because god knows I'm not paying a single euro for this one.

If you want to play a mediocre survival-crafting-basebuilding game with a Fallout flair, you could do worse. There's looting, scrapping, base building, weapon modding, crafting, tasks, events and so on, all done with a Pip-Boy on your arm.

But, if you're looking for the next installment of the Fallout franchise, this game is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ disgrace. It's a shameless Fallout 4 recycle, with nearly every aspect watered down, more buggy than before. I literally could not go 20 minutes without experiencing a minor bug, graphical glitch or AI braindeath. The VATS is now a crutch rather than a powerful combat feature, you're better off aiming yourself. I found it best suited for discovering enemies who are daydreaming behind a car. You start with 1s on all your SPECIAL stats, and most of the perk cards are useless. If you want to mod your weapons or upgrade your camp beyond absolute minimum, you'll spend most of your time picking through garbage, because the game doesn't give much of a ♥♥♥♥ about differentiating what's lootable and what's just decoration. Have fun soaking skill points into strength to carry all those telephones and spare guns to disassemble. The story and sidequests lose whatever immersion remains due to the forced multiplayer, since you'll be constantly reminded that there are several other players running around. Oh yeah, almost forgot to mention that if you'd like to play it alone (you know, how every Fallout game ever was played) or with friends only, you'll have to pay subscription fee.

The game has an overall janky feel, made even worse by dangling microtransactions in front of your face every time you log in. When I reached a so-called "treasure room" that was a big reveal in the main plotline, it consisted of roughly the same junk I found in any other "dungeon", and literally a row of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ slot machines. I got one (1) semi-decent gun of my choice, with a random bonus stat. This summed up the whole game pretty well, I suppose.

You want casual looty-shooty-grindy funtimes with friends and have money to spare, go for it.
You want survival and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥-each-other-up, buy Rust/DayZ.
You want scavenging and basebuilding, buy 7 days to die.

Don't you dare to ♥♥♥♥ up Starfield, Bethesda.
