Everyone complaining about the new UI are honestly forgetting just how awful the old UI was. They just got used to it so it became normal to them. This UI is a lottttt better, it just needs some changes since right now it's obviously very console-focused. All they really need to do is take the grid view that is optional in the hunter select screen, and make it the same for every screen and make it default. The giant buttons are wayyyy too much, scale a lot of the UI down for PC players and I think that would fix a lot of the problems people are having with the new UI right now.
