I don't think it's good but I also don't think it's bad. I saw another review say something similar, but I wish there was an 'eh' option, because I don't really recommend this game as much as I wouldn't not recommend it either. I think it's just the flattest case of a neutral I could muster. Overall, the game I think could be extremely fun and worth playing with primarily balancing changes, and I do actually look forward to a full release which may address some of the issues.

I think as a starting point, it is kind of difficult to understand what the hell is going on & my group of 4 were really confused & disoriented trying to figure it out for the entire time we played & by the time we began learning more about different conditions, enemies, etc. we'd all become extremely bored because you die a lot faster than you can revive. Pretty much all of us were stuck spectating 50% of the time we played and trying to work out what was going on for the rest of it. It probably could've benefited from a small tutorial/guide in-game to remedy this, I don't think a vague tutorial/guide would have taken away from the intrigue & it would have probably made things a lot easier to figure out.

We also had a lot of bugs with interactions? One friend couldn't interact with the elevator at all whereas I could only interact from far away, awkward angles, even when the camera was directly trained on the switch, fuel shelving, engine, etc. All in all we really didn't play for long because the entire experience ended up becoming boring for us & we'd have rather played Lethal Company because the unpredictable, unfairness in there is a lot better than how it was in Kletka. I will say though, I don't think that Kletka is really a Lethal clone & I think that while similar, it DOES differentiate itself a lot and it's not as though we hated playing the game either. The visuals were awesome & the comms worked perfectly, we messed around with emotes & overall did have fun when we actually got to play.

I do have high hopes for Kletka because the concept does seem really fun & I love games like it! But it can be kind of difficult to pick up. I may try to play it more on my own later to see if maybe we were just too stupid to pick it up & if so I'll definitely come to edit/change review.

There's a bunch of people talking about how they don't want another Dead by Daylight clone but the end-all be-all is that this ISN'T a Dead by Daylight clone, not really. To chalk it up to just that alone is really ignorant, if every plausible asymmetrical is going to be dictated as a 'Dead by Daylight' clone it makes me really sad for the asymmetrical scene. I might not have spent a lot of time playing alone but as someone who has/does regularly play Dead by Daylight, I couldn't really compare the two OTHER than the co-op aspect, that's it. You can't even really call it an asymm because of the fact you can / will get thwarted with multiple enemies pretty regularly, at least in a 3-4 party LOL.

That being said playing for the multiple hours I did was a blast, that much I can say. It's definitely a good outlast multiplayer and a lot better than I was expecting, and although I can't really go on to say on how long it may live to go on and be updated, I do think that it's worth the money for the amount of different scenarios you can get yourself swung into. I would even go as far as to say that honestly the game's exceeded my expectations more than i figured we'd get, and although it's not PERFECT I still think that it's an extremely fun experience especially with friends. Trials with friends ( solo I can't say as much about as, honestly, I don't play a lot of games alone LOL ) can last for an expected 20~30 minutes too ( unless you're re-playing stages and know more about what you're doing / the maps / etc, but even so there's still levels of unpredictability that make playing less redundant if you ARE replaying the same trial ) so it's a mix of both short enough it's not a drag but long enough you don't feel like the payoff of said trial is undermined. I will also say the randomized customization items is also a nice and fun touch and I enjoy for the reason of everyone getting different gear / clothes. One of the people I played with dripped out immediately while another looked like an under-dressed boy scout. Honestly really funny and the outfit variations are just fun all around.

Anyways, maybe my opinions will change later on, but for now i'm pretty firm on finding the game as a great addition to the Outlast franchise and a really fun experience. I will definitely be continuing with playing. It's not a DBD clone, it's literally just Outlast but add on 2-3 players/friends. :P
