Has the potential to be an incredible sandbox immersive sim experience.

Only has an hour or two of playtime right now, but the little I've played (co op) seems like the foundation for probably one of the best wizarding videogames of all time.

Szymanskis strike again with a genre-bending banger

One of the best immersive sims ever made. Trumps everything else Arkane has ever made, and most other studios too.
Amazing package with satisfying gameplay, a gripping plot, deep characters, and beautiful style littered with intelligent and thoughtful game design throughout. I'd consider it required reading for anyone who's a fan of immersive sims (or honestly just good sci fi games in general).

Incredible short story with a theme that really hits hard because of its masterful use of ludonarrative synergy.

I can't believe we're a part of this.

Following in the vein of Obra Dinn, Outer Wilds, and Case of the Golden Idol, another absolute banger knowledge-gate mystery game.

This is the best game for its specific niche released so far.
It's like a Mon Bazou or My Summer Car without the intentionally obtuse game design present in those games that lend them more of a survival feel. This in exchange feels much more casual and economy-oriented, with no urgent upkeep necessary (not even a health bar) and no real way to soft-lock yourself.

Put simply, it's something of a transport tycoon simulator that also doubles as a car management simulator with sim-cade style driving physics and a big open world.
You buy and upgrade cars analogous to real-life classics, do all sorts of different vehicular jobs (of which there are as many types as you could probably think of), and grow your company and the economy which allows you to get better upgrades for better cars and enter cooler races.

The main complaint I'd say is that despite the surprising amount of depth behind the job economy in this game, the different types of jobs feel a bit shallow in the sense that they don't penetrate past a surface level amount of challenge. For instance, in games like mudrunner, your off-road vehicle rescues would engage you with more dynamic situations the farther along the game you are, presenting you with more challenging situations in accordance with your skill. In this game, you have similar types of missions, but they rarely end up surprising you or engaging you in a deeper challenge once you've seen all the different positions cars usually need rescue from. This leads to tasks from a job feeling "samey" once you're deep enough into them, even if you're progressing into their respective careers and unlocking new things.

This is just a nitpick however, and I feel like the sheer variety of jobs and activities provided and the actual mechanics of them all fitting together and having their peculiarities well outweigh the slight lack of depth to the challenges presented.

Good game for car people.

Incredible old-school shooter that keeps surprising you with how many cool things it has in store.

One of the most inventive DOOM-likes I've played, designed meticulously and polished to near perfection. I was hooked almost immediately and only grew to love it more as the game went on and I realized how many cool set pieces they pulled off. All of this with a charming artstyle and a soundtrack that punches well above its weight to boot.

This is, by far, the most fully-fleshed VR combat sandbox you can get your hands on. It's just so intrinsically fun to interact with the systems in this game and feel the feedback of your actions on your environment and enemies.

For those who aren't satisfied with a sandbox-like experience, the game includes a roguelike mode with a more linear content pathway as well.

An absolute must-buy for any VR device owner.

I don't even usually play or enjoy automation games but this game has so many varied enjoyable aspects to it that it keeps me coming back. It's so multifaceted and well-paced to bring satisfactory and simply outright fun-to-play-with rewards to your progression that it never feels like the stage of the game you're in is pointless until you reach the next one. Although this game is by genre definition about the grind, it never really feels grindy either due to the pacing of the game and how many different things you could be doing at any one moment. If you were to play one automation-type game even as someone who isn't a fan of the genre, play this.

Most surprisingly deep and addictive game I've played. There's a lot of content here, and although it's designed with a bare-bones level of streamlining it weirdly adds to the enjoyment of this experience.
