I really enjoyed this game for the most part, but the lack of basic settings makes it very hard to recommend. The constant blinking is very jarring and not having and ability to turn it off is problematic for those with epilepsy or light sensitivities.
Not being able to turn audio settings down is a big letdown for me, because while a lot of the ambient noise was well done, things like the constant clicking of the typing became highly distracting for me, and as someone who has troubles with repetitive sounds it was grating on me by the end.

I'm already knees deep in love with this game. While a lot of zombie survival games tend to be focused just on surviving and blasting your way through the hordes, Undying has offered up a great story coupled with innovative gameplay, especially revolving around teaching Cody how to survive.
I adore the art style, which is the thing that first attracted me to the game, and the music is beautiful.
It's surprisingly challenging and you can easily find yourself at the point of choosing whether to feed Anling or Cody.
I'm really looking forward to discovering more of the world and the story!

I was very pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this game. The atmosphere is amazing - from the second you enter the house there is a feeling of despair and foreboding. It's not jump scare heavy, so the few that you do experience are more effective and cleverly done.
While there weren't a lot of puzzles, they were all fairly straightforward and uncomplicated, and tied in well with the story.
Overall I had a lot of fun playing and am looking forward to seeing what else Xenoplasis offers up.

This game hooked its claws into me very quickly and yes there are definitely some improvements to be made but overall so far it's enjoyable, immersive and a clever combination of a lot of popular survival games while still establishing itself as its own game.
Ignore negative reviews left in the first handful of hours after release, it's early access and anyone buying should expect possible bugs and flaws - the devs have been working like mad and rolling out updates quickly to make sure everyone is able to play - great job!

I really wanted to enjoy this game, especially considering the hype around it, and there are a lot of positive aspects to it overall - I enjoyed the story and the overall design.
Sadly it was all undone for me by puzzles that try too hard to be complex. I'm all for puzzles that make you think, or that take some time to complete, but what I am not down for are puzzles that don't provide any real clues and leave you aimlessly snapping photos in a desperate hope to unveil something just so you can stop the constant and repetitive sounds that accompany some of the puzzles.

Leading on from that, my second big issue with the game was the lack of audio options. There is one volume bar to control the game that seems to have zero effect, so when you do come across a section with a lot of constant sound, you have no way to turn it down or mute it altogether.

I loved the camera and the photo taking but it felt like it was overly relied upon, leaving you with an inventory full of photos to have to clear out just to be able to progress.

I had fun, but I just can't say I found it as amazing as a lot of others think it is

I really enjoyed playing this one. While the story may not be it's strongest point it does have enough of a breadcrumb trail to lead you to your own conclusions.
While a little heavy handed on the jump scares (particularly towards the later half of the game) I found most of them just added to the creepy environment you find yourself investigating.
The puzzles are easy to solve and while the game doesn't hold your hand it does give you specific advice about what you need to do in each room which is helpful when the rooms are dark.
Overall, a fun romp through the darkness!

I had such a great time with this game! From the beginning I was curious about the events and as the storyline progressed I became more and more immersed.
The scares were definitely jumpscare based but not done cheaply and I really enjoyed them as they kept the blood pumping while I ventured the houses performing the various tasks.
I'm hoping to see some more games in this universe around this story!

I absolutely loved playing this game! The art style and music both impressed me immediately when I started playing, and I found myself fully immersed in the story as it went along.
Along with a super creepy vibe to the whole mansion, the cast of characters are all equally terrifying and endearing in their own ways.
The puzzles are a lot of fun and not overly complicated, and there's a decent chunk of playtime.
With 20 different possible endings I will definitely be replaying this to get them all!

After playing Chapters 1 through 3 I was so into this game! Great use of sound, intriguing story line and the dark environments and dim lighting is perfect for creating an atmosphere of uncertainty. When you combine that with the blinking mechanism you are constantly on edge and waiting for something to come at you from the darkness.
Can't wait to play the last 2 chapters!

Despite the mixed reviews for this game I wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt, and I was not disappointed.
While it's not an overly long experience and it's probably best to wait for sale prices before purchasing, I found it kept me interested and for the most part it's pretty easy to figure out the puzzles.
There is one puzzle that leaves a little to be desired in terms of guidance, but once you figure out the mechanic it's pretty much just going back and forth until you get it right.
The music and sound are standouts for me, but not having the option to control the volume settings is a bit of a letdown.
For me though, the story and the pace of the game itself felt immersive enough to not only keep me playing, but to leave me wanting more information about what went down.
