Having a rough start and taking ~1.5 years to clear the bugs in the game doesn’t steer away from the fact that Cyberpunk 2077 is a phenomenal game, at least to me.

CP77 has no doubt one of the best (game) storylines I’ve ever indulged myself in. Right off the bat, having to pick one out of the three lifepaths and having different voicelines and outcomes based on decisions from then on is one of the many things that impressed me. One could easily tell how much CP77 had put in the effort to provide us with complex dialogues and choices which can lead each of us to different endings.

Since there is character customization, it didn’t take me long to feel connected to my V. However, I do feel that most of the credits have to be given to their voice actors (both female and male V), who did an amazing job at making V sound so badass.

CP77 knows how to come up with interesting side characters who have their own individuality, making them easily likeable. I felt a swift connection with them, especially with, of course, the major side characters.

Besides the main missions, some of the side missions were lengthy (in a good way) and so uniquely done that I thought they deserved the spotlight of being mains.

CP77 also features addictive combat movements. Guns and melees are smooth, prominently thanks to their animation.

This review cannot end without mentioning the beauty of CP77’s environment. Its futuristic dystopian surroundings with neon elements are absolutely breathtaking. The open world setting which allows us to roam and admire Night City anytime is what is constantly bringing me back, even after finishing every little thing in the game.

But just like any other game, CP77 still has a couple of bugs. Fortunately, I haven’t been met with the ones that were game-breaking. I also think that having a more interactive environment would certainly make the game even better.

I’m so happy I bought this game, I’m so happy Edgerunners exists, I’m so happy to call myself a Cyberpunk fan and I’m so happy we’re getting a DLC soon. I cannot wait to see what more CP77 has to offer in 2023! Fingers crossed Phantom Liberty gets a smooth launch!

Genuinely enjoyed the game for the first 10 ish hours but realized I was slowly getting bored. Missions, especially side missions, were downright repetitive and I, for the most part, felt that they were chores and that I was completing them for the sake of finishing the game.

I tried my extreme best to be fond of the game's protagonist but by the end of the game, I felt nothing but annoyance towards Deacon. Aside from his personality and loudness, just like the missions, his voicelines were also repetitive, especially around the Militia missions but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and consider those repeated lines an irritating game bug.

Besides Deacon, the side characters were also quite lackluster. Without giving away spoilers, I personally only felt a connection with Rikki, Iron Mike and Sarah (this could be biased as I know her actor, Courtnee Draper, as Elizabeth from BioShock and I love that game/series and her performance on it).

As for the story, it was extremely predictable and wasn't enough to keep me engaged. It could probably be the missions' rinse-and-repeat attribute for sabotaging the game story as well.

Other than that, Days Gone looks absolutely gorgeous and is greatly optimized, giving me constant 60 fps until the end. The terrifying hordes were also one of my favourite parts of the game.

Don't get me wrong, I do believe this game is great and I can see why others are fans of it, but it just didn't do it for me and I probably dived into it expecting too much. I would recommend if you don't mind rinse-and-repeat games to keep you occupied with your time. But for others who are looking for a little bit more excitement, I would recommend only getting it during a sale or not at all.

I've never once replayed a story-based game, BioShock Infinite gets to be my first. The fact that I caught myself reminiscing about the game 5 years after my first playthrough just shows how much of an impact this game still has on me. That being said, this is definitely a long overdue review.

BioShock Infinite has a storyline that isn't like any other. The plot twist turned out to be so wild that there is absolutely no way one would see it coming. I remember the chills up my spine watching the final moments unfold for the first time. The best thing about the insane plot twist is that the game manages to make it make perfect sense. It's no secret that the BioShock series is known for its unexpected plot twists, but Infinite was the one that rendered me the most speechless.

Moving on to Elizabeth, she is hands down the best deuteragonist/side character I've seen in any of the games that I've played. She doesn't feel like a hassle or an AI but an actual sidekick and companion. She reacts and interacts with the environment, mostly stays out of the way during combat and knows how to take care of herself so you don't have to be putting up a fight with enemies while stressing about protecting her. She shows up exactly when she needs to in order to provide you with health and ammo and without spoiling, she also helps out with combat via different means, all despite her distance from you. Aside from her outstanding mechanics, Elizabeth just strikes me as an overall charismatic and easily likeable character from the get-go.

Other than that, I do feel that Booker's movements need improvement. The lowered sensitivity when switched to running and ADS was something that annoyed me so much and had almost gotten me killed numerous times.

In light of all that praise, it's pretty obvious that BioShock Infinite (or the series as a whole really) is one of my favourite games ever. Even though sadly, I've heard Ken Levine won't be involved in the next BioShock game, I'm still excited to see what more the series has to offer and I hope it somehow ties in and lives up to its legendary predecessors.
