While I don't have a clear order of what are my favourite games in the franchise, this is definitely up there, at least in top 3. It is REALLY good compared to Kuro/Daybreak 2, which I felt was probably the worst entry so far.

However, this game starts really slow, but at the same time, it does keep it somehow interesting. I savoured this one and took my time, rather than binge playing it in two weeks.

The lines of things get blurred here pretty well in my opinion, and that does keep you guessing through the game. It becomes hard to tell who's right or wrong, who's good or evil? Also Quatre's growth with the identity struggles is beautiful. <3

The soundtrack is still just okay. It fits really well within the game, but nothing is something that will stick with you for next decade.

as for continuity after this game The game leaves so many questions, and the ending is pretty open too. There will be a Van-sequel.

Note: Played this with the fan translation patch, and it's pretty solid. The "database" of things that have been in every game and just allows you to go back to check on things hasn't been done properly beyond the machine translation, but I didn't find it a problem. 99% of the relevant things are translated and adjusted, as well as the non-relevant NPCs.
