Everytime I play a MMO, be it WoW, BDO or anything else, I play it alone because none of my friends enjoy the MMO grind and time dedication so the first great thing about FFXIV is that it's an RPG first and MMO second. The story from A Realm Reborn to Shadowbringers took me about 600 hours and to me it felt like the greatest zero to hero story. The worst thing (and the thing most people complain and drop it because of) is the first 100 hours of A Realm Reborn, it starts really slow with usual boring MMO quests but here they really show your character growth. The story has a great cast of characters and great continuity. Here we also have a main character that is featured in expansion trailers and your character has a great impact to the story compared to WoW where your character is someone who does stuff to move the plot forward and is never acknowledged. If you are thinking about trying the game download the free trial first that offers first 2 expansions for free and you can level almost all classes to 60, it's atleast 200 or 300 hours you can get for free and enjoy at your own pace.

Difficult rogue-like space adventure with constant evil things happening to you

I first played Human Revolution and then this master piece. It's writing is fantastic, although the shooting mechanics are different it's still good. One of bigger differences i find interesting is for an example using terminals, in Human Revolution there is already a username written and you just type the password but here you have to find a username and and a password (or just use a multi-tool)

10/10 Probably best game ever made, you can see that from all positive reviews, I personally haven't seen a negative review. It's that good
