I've had this game in early access for years, and it has always been evident that it's a passion project. The developers put everything they had into this game, and it shows. If you need further convincing, go look at their weekly Dev Blog on the website that was updated every week from November, 2011, all the way up until the game's recent relase.

The story is well-written, it's genuinely funny, and it has everything to make you feel like you're playing a classic RPG on the SNES. My only hope would be that they add something to the end game, even if it's some overpowered items or the ability to use Artifacts in a New Game+ type of mode, while also facing more difficult challenges.

10/10 - One of the best games I've ever played on Steam, absolutely worth the price, and whatever game the team makes next is an automatic purchase.

This game feels like it's still about half a year away from being launch-ready.

I really wish I could refund it, but I played about 4 hours and left the game on overnight. It's really, REALLY bad right now.

The game has potential, but right now as far as I'm concerned, it's unplayable.

You'll just eventually hit a wall where your passives don't actually activate ever, or you'll run into some bossfight that kills you with invisible AoE after it's already been killed.

For the pricetag attached to the game, you would expect some level of polish to it, but this game feels like it JUST went to beta.

DO NOT BUY IT UNTIL THEY MASSIVELY PATCH

This is the first and only game I've refunded on Steam. I loved Secret of Mana on the SNES, and had been waiting for this iteration for a long time. The problems are honestly game-ruining, though.

- Your teammate AI is horrible, and any ranged monster will almost instantly kill them.
- The menus are all central on the screen instead of circling the active character, it doesn't sound like a big problem, but it is.
- The attack bar counting back up to 100% is longer than the original (or definitely feels that way) and makes combat more arduous than it needs to be.
- The updated animations are still clunky, and multi-directional attacks sort of ruin the classic gameplay
- Cutscenes are horrible.
- This version of the game is clearly a quick effort to cash in on nostalgia, and for its pricetag, is absolutely not worth it.

I would consider re-purchasing this game if they sped up the attack counter, fixed the AI, and cut the pricetag down to 33% of its current cost.

I enjoyed the game for what it was, but I really expected them to try and add content or make Mods more accessible. The game ends up being pretty stale; you find a couple small combinations that work, and ride them out for the rest of the game. Careful not to accidentally kill somebody that may have to contribute to the story later, and again be careful not to answer a question incorrectly, because even if it seems like nothing at the time, it can prevent you from accessing content further along the way. I wish the developers had cared about making the game and community better after they had gotten my money, and I would not purchase anything from them again.

This game was enjoyable enough, but costs more than it's worth, and the support/patching/additions to the game are very disappointing.

CS:GO Review
Finally being improved to the point where I find it more enjoyable than Source, and the community is growing to the point where it feels like the real Counter-Strike again.
