TL;DR - rather poor performance and mobile game-like combat, wait until more fixes and denuvo gets removed

Changing game graphic options doesn't make any significant changes to game performance and forces you to use DLSS/FSR which still doesn't make game work good. FSR ghosting is really apparent and the only AA option is locked behind dynamic scaling.
70% of the demo is just watching bunch of cutscenes interrupted by walk forward sections that transition into another cutscene. After 20 or so minutes you are finally able to experience combat tutorial that lets you know that game plays like very popular action rpg gacha game: you mash basic attack button relentlessly and press additional skill button every 20 seconds or so.
After you watch all of the cutscenes and play the demo for total of 15 minutes you'll unlock Eikon Challenge which lets you experience how the game is going to play after you slog through some hours. It gets a little better since you gain few more powers of other Eikons but essentially it's just more of the same combat from very well known mobile gacha game.

Can't really recommend it right now and would advise to wait for more fixes and removal of denuvo before buying it. (By that time price is going to be even lower I bet)

As much as I liked playing the game at first, I quickly grew bored of it and can't really recommend it.

tl;dr
  • you play alone until max level
  • not many players left
  • lots of paid stuff and stupid stamina system
  • combat and bosses are fun
  • lots of cosmetics
  • story is mostly boring
  • game stutters and drops frames a lot even on modern setups
  • well known Korean armor upgrading system

After years of updates to Vindictus, at some point catch up mechanics were implemented to let new players quickly reach the end game where most of the fun fights are.
Right now experience of starting a new character was dumbed down to simply pressing one big red button that sends you into the stages required to complete to progress the story. That is not a bad solution but it means you'll be stuck playing alone for a very, very long time. There is a lot of stages and most of them are really easy, especially with free equipment that you receive from said catch up mechanics and quest rewards.
At some point game will straight up start giving you special items that allows you to skip some battles in story arc. You can of course refuse to use them but in the end you don't really lose much because early stages are just that boring.

There's not many players left in the game and it shows. City hubs are almost empty and so is chat. You can see people recruiting for end game battles so finding group for dailes might not to be a problem if you are playing during peak hours.

One of the biggest gripe for me was stamina system. At first you start with 300%, That's a lot of stamina at first and as you progress through early story you won't even notice what that is for. As your level gets higher you'll start noticing that one bar is slowly going down. That is stamina bar.
For every stage you complete you have to use part of your stamina to receive exp, item drops and AP. At first values are really low and not noticeable but after reaching higher levels you'll see it takes around 5-10% stamina per quest.
If your stamina hits 0% you receive no rewards. That means you won't be able to progress through some quests because they require you to find an item to unlock another one.
Game simply wants you to stop playing at that point, make another character since stamina doesn't share between all characters or force you to pay for more stamina. Of course you recover part of that stamina daily free of charge but it's not a lot compared to amount you want to spend just to progress through story.
There is few special items that decrease usage or recover your stamina but best option is just to pay for monthly VVIP subscription that does both. It decreases usage of stamina by 50% and gives you items that recover it every hour.

Combat in this game is fun and it's probably one of two things that keep current small playerbase still playing. It's not too hard on controls yet satisfying enough to keep you through endless slog of leveling your character to max level.

The other thing that keeps people playing would be vast amount of customization of your character. There's quite a lot of special costumes, hairstyles, dyes, make-ups, wings and all other cosmetic items in the game. Since it's F2P title, that means you'll have to pay for it with real money, but game at first showers you with special tickets that let you rent and test out few items at first.

The main story in this game is not too bad but it has a lot of unmemorable filler dialogue in it that slowly made me doze off and feel kind of bad for not skipping some bits of it. Other players seem to just recommend holding skip button in game and read more interesting bits about the story online.

Game is really old at this point and made in specific way that doesn't really work well even on modern PC setups. That means you'll be dropping frames even on very good PC which is not that big of a deal but might be really annoying sometimes.

Like every Korean grinder, Vindictus has this stupid equipment upgrading system where reaching high levels of upgrades is almost impossible without spending huge amounts of time or money to achieve. Be ready to either dedicate yourself to this game for a very long time or/and pay a lot of money.

As for me, Vindictus was alright game to pass some time on but long sequences of filler chain quests, that most of the time were boring, quickly made me don't want to continue. And in the end it's just another Korean multiplayer game with gear treadmill that many people, including me, simply dislike.

Play the demo then buy the game. It only gets better and better.
Gameplay is great, music is fantastic and when vocals hit you only want to keep on going.

Can't recommend the game because of Amazon. Censorship, "westernization", technical problems, poorly designed road map, machine translation with thousands of issues and millions of bots playing till this day.

It is really addicting game that quickly turns into a job. At first you log in to do dailies, that changes into doing dailies on two characters then three characters and at some point you end up doing them with six characters until you waste 12 hours daily.
That might sound like your average korean grind mmo and some people are fine with it (me included) but global release has big problems mostly because of the publisher that I stated above.

Really liked the gameplay, did almost all available content in the game during my playtime, but after some time you need a break from all that grind and few days later you just don't really want to go back knowing you'll have to compete with never ending inflation caused by bots.

NGS has little to nothing content that made the game bleed 90% of it's playerbase in span of 4 weeks.
After 3 months from release all we are getting is reused event(which will be reused YET again after looking at datamines), gachas filled with same stuff but in different colour and campaigns that try to milk money out of you even more than gacha itself ($100 for running animation).
On top of that their "support" recently started permanently banning people on their frist strike for stuff that other games handle with chat mute and/or correction of the issue while cheaters and players who RMT are still playing untouched.
It feels like the community of this game going to hit rock bottom really soon and servers will be left on life support with maybe 1 or 2 staff members keeping an eye on it.
