This game has everything I could possibly have wanted. Baldur's Gate II was my favourite game until I played Baldur's Gate III.
I did not play the early access version much because I did not want to spoil the first Act for myself and I was almost afraid to be disappointed. I really did not think it could be better than its predecessor, but it is exactly what I hoped for, if not even more than.
I am now nearly 300 hours in, and I still feel that there is still so much to do and see.
The characters are so well written and I can't think of a single one I have not enjoyed finding out more about. The world is complex and full of secrets and fun encounters and 100 ways to approach any problem. I feel that my choices actually matter.
Can't really point out anything negative about this game - I have encountered only some minor graphics bugs and no crashes/freezes/broken quests. If anything, I would only want even more world to explore.
Can't recommend enough.

I am only a little over 5 hours in, but so far I have really enjoyed this game.
The story is well written, voice acting is really good, the quests feel interesting and have made me stop and plan instead of just steamrolling through everything, the world feels immersive.
I have gotten a bit confused about what I need to/where I need to go a few times, but I have actually enjoyed a bit of figuring things out.

Definitely recommend.

Time flies by when playing this. "Just one more thing" and suddenly three hours have passed.
There is a lot to grow, explore, build. Learning to fish took me a while, but I quite enjoy even that now.
Definitely recommend!

I am 17 hours into this game and feel like I have barely scratched the surface. There is just so much story and adventure and of course also murder and mayhem. The world in general feels very detailed and engrossing and I really care for my party members with their very individual personalities and so far there isn't even one I dislike.

This game in general feels more like the 'oldschool' games with lots and lots of story, higher difficulty and slight lack of instructions. When in most games these days I can walk into places feeling all heroic and near immortal, in this game I learned very quickly that if something seems like a bad idea, it definitely is a bad idea - you can't just smash through the problems you shouldn't have started in the first place. The lack of instructions is the only issue I have about this game - I like the adventure and finding things out myself, but it does become slightly annoying when there is a day limit to a quest and wandering around and talking to people until you figure out what to do is not an option, especially when travelling from one place to another and resting inbetween takes quite a bit of time. Then again this is only a minor issue for me and doesn't take from the overall enjoyment of this game.

Some of the early reviews complain about bad bugs, but to this point I have not encountered any issues.

Overall I definitely recommend the game. I have thoroughly enjoyed the time spent on this so far and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Frantic button spamming is rarely so much fun as when playing Torchlight :)
