Unknown Worlds (Natural Selection series) has certainly suceeded again in bringing us to an Unknown World.

Lots to explore, lots to see, distance to travel. I tried to reach the end of the story as fast as possible, and it was maybe 40 hours of gameplay (ie: tons). I didn't craft everything by a long shot and my bases were fairly minimal.

Love this game - and particularly like the storytelling. While there is a narrator in the form of the players PDA, the story is mostly told "half-life style" - the player experiences the story, they're not _told_ the story. As for the "fear", I don't find this game particularly horrific, and I don't think the developers were going for that either. Neither the world, nor the player is entirely hostile - rather just surviving, and I think we need more games with such stories.

Because they're an indy studio, I will give them a break on the lack of multiplayer, but it is dearly missed. However, the world, the art, the voice acting, the lore, the creatures, the submarine(!!!)... Clearly no shortage of passion was put into this one!

10/10 - cannot wait to see what Unknown Worlds does next!
