- Pirate ranking system is garbage, after every new "up," you will get hunted
- ship navigation and the sea are plain boring
- the combat on every ship is annoying, every time there will be reinforcement on the ship
- you can't just defeat the captain in the pirate ranking; u need to fight 1V1 in a rock-scissor-paper mode
- now we have dragons...kinda weird
- cursed villages are now even more annoying (2 whole rounds till you can escape)

I really loved the first game and had over 100 hours with 100%. So here are my first impressions of the anticipated FTK II:

Positive:
+ again a good OST
+ nice design/graphics (I prefer the FTK I version)

Neutral:
= couldn't try multiplayer, but looking at other reviews, it seems...kinda bad?
= Story is longer, but the LVL gap is rapidly increasing (from 0 to 3, even the side quests)
= RNG (can't do anything about it, unless focus or luck)

Negative:
- the UI seems a terrible choice to FTK I
- report button ***** you more up than every ex-girlfriend
- lack of other game modes
- lack of styling your character
- the grinding feels worse than in FTK I
- sometimes the game freezes in the overworld (3070/i7 9700kf/32gb RAM)
- many mobs who can literally one shot; need to grind till same LVL or above (git gud)

Conclusion:
Wait for the bug fixes and other adjustments till you buy it. Enjoy in the meantime FTK I or other games (don't pick CS2, it's currently a mess too). But I have faith, that the developers can turn things around in a few weeks or months, like always.

EDIT:

After arriving at the End boss with her minions (be prepared) and a long fight later, I won (apprentice) and thought it's a good time to call it a day and write these things down:

- Most common and reported bugs are fixed
- Game has still sometimes performance issues (FSP randomly dropping)
- Freezing in the overworld is rarely common, but still there
- Multiplayer, so far so good, but if u had connection issues, u can delete your progress, because it will always tell you "can't connect". The data is overall corrupted like in Terraria the overworld and u can throw it in the bin and the guide too.
- The ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ RNG is most of the time against u...not even random, just straight up hate crime. (e.g. skipping round, using just items and then no attack, early bosses like bandit king can take progress away)
- Bosses have ridiculous hp and sometimes the same boring or even unfair mechanics
- The shop has nothing cool in it and there is still lack of character visualization
- Still less game options, just 5 chapters, with kinda the same "evil" story and in the end...see yourself

U can play the game solo or with your mates, have fun for 20 hours, and afterward u need to wait for the roadmap patches. Let's see, what the future brings. Still, thanks for the game, for the fixes and hopefully better changes.

This game is a buggy mess since development. The performance is a punishment for every PC out there. The developers don't even care and are developing a new mess, called Ark Survival 2. Oh boy...it's not worth the money, not even at sale.

This game has so many flaws, and the physic sucks more than everything else in the world. Release a new game with a better performance and fewer flaws.

This game in a nutshell:

negativ:
- Boring gameplay
- The jump takes more than u think...u press it one time and after some ms it reacts
- Stupid long passages
- some enemies have too much hp and its only a patient game

positiv:
+ the music
+ u dont need to buy it

This game has many bugs, performance issues, and it should be still in beta...overall everything is frustrating, like premier or the abysmal subticks. But hey, Volvo will fix it in a few years, so let's watch IEM Sydney ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
