Has some demanding gameplay; ordering matters. Skill tree talents feel like they're actually worth choosing. Some bugs, but what did you expect? Decent roguelike.

Cute anime girls, funny dialogue, good music, simple and good gameplay, and it's free.

The positive reviews for this game bring up the art and free cards, and are by people with limited hours played.
The negative reviews for this game bring up the balance, and are by people with hundreds of hours played.

Decide for yourself if you prefer aesthetics over function, we all know what Cygames has chosen.

While a decent addition to the Ubermosh compilation and overall a fun time if you've enjoyed the earlier volumes, it seems like the game itself got somehow easier. Get it if you really liked the earlier games, but there's not too much new.

Suggestions:
1) Make/add enemies with more health, currently there's a binary between shielded (run away) and unshielded (run towards). It would make for a little bit more stimulating gameplay.
2) Remove some obsolete guns, I guess it could be a skill thing if you need dodge bodies to avoid picking up a worse gun, but some that are apparently interchangeable on the gun 'tier' list are definitely worse.
3) Remove class distinctions entirely (!), maybe make a set of sliders for powers you can exchange for a certain amount of lives. (3 lives for gunner auto, 1 for increasingly powerful map clear).

I would still recommend this, but if there are future volumes I'd love some of the above incorporated.

It's always nice to see a new volume of Ubermosh released, because though each game is a tweaked version of the next, the tweaks and fine handling are what really make the game.
1. Adjustable manastrike is a nice addition, feels a bit more dynamic to use than the brainclap of earlier versions.
2. Shielded enemies make for a slightly increased challenge, but you pretty much just ought to run away.
3. 2nd best gun spawn time earlier? Feels like you get it faster than previously.
4. Good soundtrack additions, feels pretty badass when loading in for a PR run.
5. The lack of terrain is a good design choice over earlier Ubermosh volumes, but would like to see an occasional obstacle (in the last 10 seconds it's possible to ignore the screen as you pray for enough kills if you have the best gun and a good spray pattern.)

Most I would recommend for a new volume is a new gun or two, with slightly more varied mechanics than "more bullets and more spray."

The devs are memers of the highest calibre. I bought this on a whim and it's some of the most value you can get out of $20 CAD. Won't waste time explaining why I recommend the game since there are hundreds of reviews that cover it better than I could.

It's good, it's fast, it's cheap. Get it.
