terribly optimised piece of ♥♥♥♥ game, not to mention that it crashes every 5 minutes this ♥♥♥♥ is unplayable

This is my honest review after entering the hall of fame in this game, so I have played it enough to see the good and bad parts. However I wish that steam had a neutral or another third option for reviewing games that wasn't yes or no.

TL;DR - Stunning game and large improvement from FH4. Some performance issues and things that I personally think should or should not be in the game, but buying is recommended and for fans of the Horizon series it is a must purchase.

On the surface, Horizon 5 is a really amazing game. New great map with awesome new cars and incredible graphics makes this game a firm "yes" in the eyes of a car enthusiast or someone who loves driving games. Don't get me wrong, this game really is something and as someone who has played every Forza Horizon game this is definitely up there with Horizon 2 in my personal rankings of the games. However, as I mentioned earlier in the review there are a lot of things in this game that would make me want to give it a neutral review. First off, I just want to say that if you have played all of the other Horizon games and love them, then I would say that you should 100% buy this game, but I will say a few things first. The new engine sounds are much better than they were in Horizon 4, and the new cars they have added are a great addition to the game. However it is super disappointing to me that 75% of the cars have just been directly ported from Horizon 4 into this game, as is visible by all the 2013 model Mercedes that have been in the previous game and look exactly the same. Why? I don't understand why they haven't added more newer model vehicles and I think it's crazy that most of the cars are just identical to the old ones despite new sounds. Another thing that greatly annoys me about this game is the stupid turbo noise that comes from the car when you upgrade a race turbo onto your car. No matter the RPM, the gear or the speed once you take your foot of the accelerator or downshift the same turbo flutter noise plays and it is so annoying and unrealistic. I know this is an arcade type racing game but it is completely unreasonable to have that same stupid turbo noise from FH4 that plays every single time you let your foot off the accelerator.

Another thing that I have been noticing is that for some reason the AI in the races will literally drive into the side of your car and attempt to ram you off the road mid race which is INSANELY aggravating especially considering how easy it is to hit an oncoming traffic AI car during a race. I have absolutely no idea why they do this but in almost every race I have done, once you are alongside the AI cars they drive into the side of you. If I wanted to be rammed off the road I would play a multiplayer race instead. The main thing that annoys me about this game is the performance issues that come from playing in on a PC instead of on a console. It almost seems like this is done on purpose as they want you to buy their new console to play FH5. The game runs fine but after playing for around an hour or two, the performance completely drops to the point where the game stutters and freezes every few seconds and it becomes impossible to race or drift. Eventually, the stuttering and freezing will become so bad that you will have to close the game to fix it, or the game will eventually crash if you chose to put up with the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ performance. This is very annoying.

That being said, from a graphical POV the game is beautiful and looks absolutely incredible, and it is a lot of fun to play. I am sure I will spend a long time enjoying this game but I do hope they fix the performance issues. To be honest, knowing Microsoft it would probably be better to buy this game on the Microsoft store as it might even run better there. Overall though, I do recommend buying this game even with the issues and small things that annoyed me. As a massive fan of all the Horizon games, I can firmly say that they have done well with this one, and it is a must purchase for anyone who loves the FH games like I do. But if this would be your first FH game, I would advise you to try it out with Game Pass first.

Got told by a friend that we should play this game and it did not disappoint at all. We played the game from start to finish in one sitting and had a lot of fun doing so. It's a great puzzle game to enjoy with friends. As I recall, there are scares and a few jump scares but the horror is not overwhelming and it is very playable even for people who are not a fan of horror/scary games.

7/10 - Not too scary and very enjoyable puzzle game to play with friends.

I have owned this game since it was first released, and it has provided many hours of fun with friends as well as having simple but very enjoyable game play. The visuals in this game are excellent as well. While most of my hours on this game come from very early development back when you could fly around with the seat to the rover, I have seen the content within the game expand rapidly and it has turned into such an amazing game that I would recommend everyone to buy and play this game alone or with friends, as it is very enjoyable either way.

8/10 - Very enjoyable and beautiful, would recommend.

Mad Max is an excellent game that really sucked me in while playing. It is a bit of a grind, but overall it is very enjoyable to play and I rarely found it a chore to have to grind a little bit to get some upgrades etc. It's been a while since I have played this, but I remember greatly enjoying my time while playing this game.

7/10 - Recommend despite having a small aspect of grinding needed to progress.

Excellent game to play and chill out after raging in another game, it is so fun to just drive around a chill out with some music playing in the background. I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys a chilled gaming experience, but I would recommend playing this game with a controller rather than mouse and keyboard as it is a driving game in the end of the day.

6/10 - Nice and chilled game

This game is complete and utter garbage. I would not recommend this game to anyone as it is literally the most boring thing I have ever played in my entire life. I wish I could have refunded this game. All I did was walk around for an hour finding absolutely nothing and then starving or poisoning myself with some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ food that I found in a house around the map, and that goes to say that there is almost nothing to do.

4/10, do not recommend paying 30 euros for this garbage.

This game provides endless hours of fun and you can meet some really great people on the thousands of servers with different game modes that you can try out. I really recommend purchasing this game as you can do pretty much everything in it, with or without other people.
