I've been waiting for this game. I quite enjoy it, and here's what I can say after a few hours of playing.
There are a lot of good ideas, like:
- Sea fights (Naval boarding, melee battles etc...)
- Crew management (There are something like India's caste system: fighters should be at buttlefield, not peeling potatoes in the kitchen. Serfs have to work in the kitchen and wash the deck.)
- Cities exploration (nice arhitecture, different cultures)
- Siege of forts (love this thing since "Corsairs")
There was a general impression that this like a "Mount&Blade in Waterworld" crossover, that sounds great to me.
Game in 'early access' and as you can see in other reviews, some things a unfinished now but i really believe that such projects deserve the support of the community, in contrast to the endless flood of faceless clones and Unisoft titles that filled the entire "NEW" page. Hope that the game will sell well and the developers will have enough opportunities to polish the game.
Overall good game with great potential.

No plot. No game. Very surprised by such a large number of positive reviews. Totally not a masterpiece. Don't buy! Watch on youtube and save you money.
