i hope this is just some kinda demo for a longer project because i wanna play more of it. i really liked the atmosphere and found myself asking questions (what planet is this? why is it desolate?) that make me wanna dig deeper and find out more about this world and this lonely robot. the puzzles were quite well executed too, aside from some slight confusion where i avoided pressing the question mark key because i thought it would activate some kinda hint system.
not to mention it's free and it took me maybe 20-25 minutes to finish it. there's no reason to pass over it, really.

i doubt i'd recommend this even if not for the widely mentioned game-breaking crash after the final boss. it's certainly charming but i found there wasn't really enough to get all that much enjoyment out of it, and some of the level design choices left a lot to be desired - there was more than one occasion where i would backtrack or come out of a secret room to find an enemy had respawned in a position that meant i HAD to take damage from them before i could get past. i also find it strange that every single gem is invisble and has to be walked past before it appears, meaning you end up doing a LOT of walking back on yourself at sometimes inconvenient moments if you're trying to get everything. it all comes together in a way just makes it a very unfortunately not fun experience.

i would 100% recommend the soundtrack though

once you get past the inital wave of "woah this is so fun!! holy heck" it becomes pretty obvious that a lot more went into making this Simply Epic Martial Arts than actually particularly well-designed. the slow-motion zoom-in stuff is neat at first but it gets tired pretty quickly and completely kills the pacing and flow of the combat. the way abilities activate is similarly jarring as there's very little indication that an ability has actually activated, which again can kill your flow entirely when you're next attack doesn't do what you're expecting.
it's a real shame cus the core gameplay is so fun and really strongly hooked me in but it's just not quite enough to keep invested

probably would've finished it in like 4-5 minutes if you didn't walk about like you're waist-deep in sludge. there's nothing to this game at all besides shock tactics and a vaguely creepy atmosphere.
