Very fun and cozy game! Wish it was longer and had more maps and more upgrades!

Bury my mother, pale and slight. Bury my father with his eyes shut tight. Bury my sisters two by two, and then when you're done; let's bury me too!

Business is business, and business is boomin'

but I'd rather pay for it once than subscribe to a game I play like twice a year with friends..
make private tables free again!

I don't want to come off as rude, it's a fun game and I would actually recommend it if it wasn't for the issues.

I have lost count now of how many times my save has gotten corrupt, so if you plan on making somewhat big structures; make frequent backups. I scaled mine down a lot so it's not even big now but it still starts getting buggy and then it just gets corrupt and I lost 25k of white star on yellow circle on red star shapes :(
Maybe I have to close some of my 2000 chrome tabs to save ram..
but man I wish it didn't glitch out all the time and get corrupted :(
pls fix for shapez 2 kthxbye

So, Intralism.
This is probably my favorite rhythm game, but it’s not perfect. I wanted to write this review mostly because I’m bored, but also to just summarize my experience with Intralism.
So, it’s a mania style rhythm game but in a circle - an interesting concept. Compared to a lot of other mania style games, Intralism has no “sliders.” Pardon my use of osu! terminology, I don’t know the correct name for them and I, like many others, am a former osu! player (not an especially good one). I always struggle in mania due to not being able to hold one button while pressing others, so Intralism is the perfect game for that.

Many songs have cool background animations, although I found myself turning both the background and the shaking of the circle off since both are distracting when playing more difficult levels.

Speaking of difficulty, it brings us to part of the first issue and to be honest the main issue. There are a few ranked songs, and a few loved, of various difficulties. They do great when starting out, but they don’t keep you there for too long. They quickly become repetitive, and I often found myself wanting more. The obvious answer would be to play community maps (workshop maps) but that’s where Intralism has its huge flaw.
There is no difficulty rating for workshop maps, making it extremely difficult to find suitable maps to play. When looking for maps with a higher difficulty, yet still not insanely high difficulty, I found myself having to go through many maps before finding one I would actually enjoy playing. So many maps are either too slow and boring, or too fast and difficult. To be clear; this is not the fault of the mappers - they are amazing. The only thing lacking is an actual difficulty rating for community maps.

Not wanting to play the same few maps over and over again but still wanting to play more and improve more, I tried looking through the workshop maps - but eventually I gave up. I got tired of it, and instead stopped playing.
I cannot say 100% that there is no way of finding the correct difficulty maps, but an actual rating-system would be ideal.

Aside from the lack of content, it’s a very fun game. As I said, it’s probably my favorite rhythm game. I just wish there were more maps to play, or that I could at least find them more easily. Hopefully, those issues are things that will be fixed in the rebuild. I have yet to try the rebuild yet, but if the issues I mentioned have been or at least will be fixed within the rebuild; then I will most likely be coming back to Intralism and enjoy it once more, even more.
Thank you.
