It made me fall asleep at my desk for like 2 hours after playing the intro. Not interested to go any further if it's gonna constantly make me tired because of how bored I am.

I also don't know if it's just me, but this game feels awful to control. There's a weird input delay with everything you do, and it's quite noticeable, especially when you switch weapons. Sometimes the game doesn't even register that you swapped a weapon, making you press it 2-3 times. It's annoying. The combat lacks any impact or punch. Sux.

I honestly think this is the best zombie game of all time. Despite it's flaws, it's an incredibly unique game and there hasn't been a game that has ever emulated anything close to the feel of this game, even the sequels. This is the best out of the trilogy, everything about it is just so perfectly made. Mindlessly killing zombies during your free time and making random mixed juices is a good time.

It's some of the most fun I've had in gaming in a while, and the biggest test of my sanity when going for 100%. I don't think another game can live up to just how amazing Dead Rising is. Can't wait for Deluxe Remaster. :)

Fry eggs with some nice art direction and an amazing soundtrack.

I'm not sure what it means. But it's nice. I like frying eggs.

Early Access Review
Gray Zone Warfare COULD be great. The keyword is *could.*

Right now, there's a base and potential for an incredibly great game that should be considered more than just a tarkov "clone/killer," something entirely different. I feel like the comparison to Tarkov is unfair. These games are not the same. They're different. In a sense, Gray Zone Warfare feels more like an MMO version of Arma or a military version of DayZ. There are many interesting ideas here. The entire 3 faction war and the seamless, open map is really cool. The environments are pretty. The atmosphere is great.

It's just that everything past that falls flat in terms of delivery. I know it's early access, so I'm giving it a bit of slack, but there's just so much odd tedious stuff in this game. The movement feels awful. It's bouncy and unresponsive. The combat could use a lot of work as well, especially in the feedback area, specifically in terms of sounds. It's very.. weak, and muddled. Getting shot in this game is pretty much a death sentence, while the damage system is a pretty cool concept, in execution, it feels weird. Once you get shot, you're hit with 5 different status effects that you have no idea how to clear, causing your character to wheeze and pant like an obese man after running up a flight of stairs. You'll spend a lot of time in the healing menu in this game trying to figure out what exactly is wrong with your character. And even then, the animations for healing take such a long time. You'll be sitting in the corner of a building while getting bumrushed by 100 braindead AI and die because it takes a year to use a bandage.

Using sights in this game that aren't scopes are pretty.. pointless? There's no real advantage of using sights over irons. You could argue "realism" but even then it's not realistic. If anything it just makes it harder to see stuff in this game. There's a clear difference between using irons and optics in real life. Here, it doesn't matter.

On the topic of AI, it's.. not that good. They're stupid, and dumb. You could stand in front of one and they wouldn't even shoot you and just keep spouting the same voice lines over and over. Or, they'll headshot you from a mile away. (This happened while playing the PvE only mode, in the "beginner" town with low-tier npcs.) They're on two different sides of the spectrum. Sometimes their footsteps aren't even audible. I got shot in the back of the head once by an NPC that I couldn't even hear running behind me. They're also.. like a hivemind. If you kill one (even with a silencer) the entire town will know where you are and start running towards your position, swarming and crowding where you are. It's so inconsistent. Sometimes they'll be a dumb hivemind. Other times they'll one tap you from miles away using an AK without a dust cover and stock. You could also dump multiple mags into them and they won't die. I know about the organ and hole system. But it's just not very fun to play against.

And the servers/performance are also awful. The game is incredibly unoptimized. I was getting around 10fps on a helicopter on the medium preset using DLSS balanced. If I aimed down sights in certain areas the frames would just drop completely. The networking causes so many issues with rubberbanding that it's ridiculous. I couldn't even exit a house at times because I kept teleporting back in. Enemies would suddenly teleport 5 miles in front of me while I was trying to fight them. Sometimes I would try to jump over a fence or an object in my way and I would keep getting pushed back to where I was before. It's annoying. And it's constant. The game also has a visibility issue. You can't see npcs through a bush. But they can see you and shoot you through the same bush.

It's got a lot of interesting stuff. And a lot of potential, which I hope it lives up to. Right now, it's not great. But it could be. Come back in a few months to see how it is.

A sequel to one of the best roguelites ever, making it the best roguelite of all time. Improves on the first by a large margin while adding so much amazing stuff. It's awesome, worth your money and time.
