You should play Signalis, its story is peak, its style is peak, its characters are peak, its soundtrack is peak, the fandom.. not so peak but it's okay because every other fandom has a non-peak side to it. There are so many things about Signalis that people miss or interpenetrate but honestly, it's fun to listen to people and their perspective on the game and what they think happens. Spoiler(s) ahead! honestly, my favourite thing to rant about the game is the endings. Like, yes, they are sad but if you think about it more deeply in depth, it's more bittersweet than sad. The only one that is truly sad is Leave ending because Elster-512 never truly fulfilled her promise, leaving herself unaccomplished whilst leaving Ariane left with an unfulfilled promised. The other endings, Promise ending, Artifact ending and Memory ending are all bittersweet because, yeah they die but their some parts or all parts of the promise was fulfilled and they die together. It's better than leaving the promise unfulfilled, no matter how badly the promise will hurt too heart. Another thing is that Ariane is basically helping Elster-512 throughout the whole thing with her bio-resonance. Ariane will do anything to protect Elster, even if it's to corrupt and harm others (this part was spoken about by my girlfriend and I used it in my own words). But yeah! Go check out Signalis, play it blind, it may not be for everyone but it is highly recommended by me. I'm also literally Ariane Yeong!
