Where to begin.

I was a young kid living in a run down shack with my widowed mother and my three younger siblings. She spent three years saving up money for a low-end laptop, which I can never thank her enough for. It meant and still means the world to me.
On this laptop, I managed to purchase Super Meat Boy, a classic game. I never thought I'd find a game better.

Until today.

To compare this game to Super Meat Boy would be fickle and pointless. The smooth leaps and gameplay demolish that of games like Mirror's Edge, and the impeccable free-roam world crushing anything that Skyrim could hope to offer.

Instead of Crysis 3, this game could easily be the game people look for to test their high-end graphics cards and processors etc., and even still, the game runs like a dream on any platform.

The incredulously satisfying collection of the mushrooms is matched only by the enlightening soundtrack which follows you as you pave your way through the exquisite level design, which flows so perfectly that the frame slide between the levels is completely unnoticable.

The challenging achievements are high up with what this game has to offer. It is obvious that when PinkySwear was forging this game in what must be quite the expensive developing lair that they wanted only the best for the players. The artwork in the achievement icons alone is beautifully hand-crafted, and the game even includes some comedic achievements for a well-rounded experience.

Despite the fact that there are no voice lines in the game (unless you play the free DLC, of course), the immersiveness of the game surrounds the player as if they were in the world themselves.

The only downside to the game is it's saddeningly short storyline, yet the beautifully tear jerking beginning, content and ending make up for this entirely.

All in all, this game is possibly the most wondrous game ever created, and I hope that PinkySwear goes on to create other amazing works of art. 98.7/100
