I got it on sale. I liked it. It was fun and a bit scary. Don't go expecting Subnautica or anything, but it's a fun little game. It makes me wish I had an underwater mod similar to this game on Minecraft. This is kind of like a limited, shorter minecraft under water.

Update for SWL:
It's still great and Secret World Legends has breathed new life into it. The Jack halloween event public raid is way better than the Flappy raid, also.

Old review for TSW:
It's a really unique MMO. It has good mechanics and an interesting story and setting. It's one of my favorite MMOs of all time. Right up there with EverQuest, Guild Wars 2, and DAoC.

It's a pretty fun steampunk team shooter game. It's one of a kind, really.

A bit short (my playtime was like 5 or 6 hours and I was probably a bit slow), but a beautiful and fun game. Cute and interesting story. Definitely recommend it if you like this kind of game.

It's like I've been transported back in time, to play another half-life 1 mod.

Now that I've had some time with this game, I can say that I do recommend it, as long as you're willing to put in 15 or 30 mins of time that you may have to spend getting it to work right (it's worth it). Test Drive Unlimited 2 is a fun, moderately challenging, and somewhat immersive open world racer, that will give you lots of hours of fun, if open world racers are your thing.

It was easy for me to move past the dated graphics, because the game sucks you in with exploring and racing. There's a lot to explore. Once you've explored a road, you can fast travel there using the map, which is a boon, because the map is so large. If I have to drive 30 miles, then I feel like it takes me 30 minutes to do it, similar to real life. This is a benefit, because it makes the world feel really large. If an event is on a road that you haven't explored yet, you'll need to drive to it.

There are different types of events, different missions. There's a medium variety of missions. The voice acting... well I didn't buy this game for great voice acting. I bought it to drive and race. Which it lets me do. I had fun for hours and hours, just driving around, exploring.

It really seems like there's a lack of open world racers, so if you like them, then you should probably pick up this game.

Old Edit: It's stopped running a couple more times. Each time I've had to verify the files in steam, run the patcher, verify the files again, and run the patcher again, where it will finally download some files, and then it works. I'm enjoying the game enough now to put up with some occasional fuss, if that says anything.

Old part:
I finally got the game running. I had a few crashes, but that may be due to Raptr Replay DVR thing. I haven't played it very long yet, but so far it seems OK.

It's an open world type racer thus far and I have a house (small RV at this point) and a garage. The graphics are a bit dated. The tutorials seem kind of lacking. It's not clear whether or not I'll be able to upgrade cars, though it is apparent I'll be able to buy new ones.

There's a 3D anaglyph mode, with 3D (I guess for 3D monitors), Red/Cyan, Magenta/Green, and Yellow/Blue. If that's your thing.

I haven't really formed an opinion on this yet, but I didn't want to leave it as a negative since I was able to get it working. I spent probably about 45 mins trying different things. It ended up working after I restarted my computer.

And for some reason, the game always runs in administrator mode.

Can't recommend right now. There's like three people playing, and they will all be on the opposite team, since there's apparently no auto-balancing. Could turn out to be pretty good, but not at this point.

At this point I don't really recommend it. The trailer seems a bit misleading. Right now, it's basically just another physics puzzle game with a sandbox mode; I was expecting more. And, the controls are way too sensitive. It makes it really hard to steer. If I could un-buy this, at least maybe until a later date, I would.

Everyone is right about all the UPlay issues. What a giant pain. I thought because I never had issues with UPlay before, it would be fine. I was wrong. I did get the issues fixed though. I'm not even sure how.

For now, the game is working well. If you can get past the redundant UPlay DRM stupidness, then it's actually pretty fun. I got really into Tropico 4 for a while, and this kind of reminds me of that, but with a somewhat more serious tone.
