Game has potential but it doesn't have saving feature and there is no mention about it in the game description at the Steam Store Page which is obviously a big oversight on the developer's part or was it made this way on purpose? Unfortunately developer at Community Hub answered that he can't implement saving feature at this point (game was released as final one and not EA). Buy it only at sale price but remember you won't be able to save your progress when you want to. Due to lack of save option I cannot recommend it atm.

So uhm.. Can we save yet?
Hey there
I've been looking into the feasibility of introducing a save/load system and I keep running into a series of issues I can't resolve without rewriting most of the game.
That being the case I've added new scenarios in the various campaigns and reduced their length so you can get through them in around 15-40 minutes. The idea was generally that these were meant to played in a single session and after each scenario the next one unlocks. You can either continue playing or next time you start the game it'll be accessible in the campaign menu.
I'm not confident I'll be able to get a save/load system going unless I make some serious breakthroughs

Early Access Review
It pains me but at its current stage - ABSOLUTELY NOT. The game needs serious changes and more professional approach. It lacks many features and uniformity with in-game models. Graphically it lacks depth and 3d models that would match each other. In-game buildings are just a conglomerate of different styles and they don't match the medieval style which game should present (side effects on using models from the free online market and not making them on your own). Game lags and freezes with more than 100-150 pop (PC specs CPU i9, 32GB RAM, RTX2070).Currently, it's more like a rip-off of Banished and Forest Village (when it comes to game's mechanics) but far worse and boring in many ways. I'm very disappointed when comparing what was advertised and what players got when the game was released at Steam a few months ago in a state that shouldn't be even called Alpha. Sadly, it's light years behind Banished, Forest Village, Enzdone or Ostriv. It needs serious optimization. Personally, for me it's should be more polished and worked on before releasing at Steam as a title with an actual price or released as FREE (at least for a while) so players can test it and provide useful feedback before the game will represent stage that can be priced at all. I fully understand that developer wants to make fast money and releasing game on a gaming platform provides additional funds but people have different expectations and releasing the game in less than the Alpha stage could have serious consequence in the future like less interest and lack of sales. Steam is a demanding gaming platform when it comes to quality and players needs which you can actually see checking out game statistics - it shows that game doesn't have a lot of "traffic" and active players: https://steamdb.info/app/1115450/ Weekly updates are nice but they should be more consistent and not "colored" and it would be better if they didn't break the game so often. This title doesn't offer anything new, just the same things which were introduced by more advanced, previous games.Overall - maybe in time game will improve but seeing what happened in the last 7 months I highly doubt that. Tried to give it a shoot but couldn't after 5 hours. Tried to contact the developer to help with development but as it seems MedievalNexus wasn't interested in constructive feedback. I will wait for more improvements and development and if anything changes I will consider changing my review to a more positive one. At this point, I do not recommend Bastide.

Amazing, outstanding and interesting city builder with a lot of potential. Beautiful graphics. Great Devs Team listening to the community. Frequent updates. Ambitious Roadmap and plans for future content. Well-executed and programmed. I tested Endzone during closed-beta and I'm really proud of what was achieved till now. User-friendly interface. Well-written tutorial. A brilliant and fresh approach for city-builder with an apocalyptic idea. The most important and crucial is well-planned settlement layout and management during its development. Players who enjoyed Banished will be pleased with this title. Game is not complicated as stated some of the Steam reviews...

I fully recommend Endzone and I will support it during further development, waiting patiently for upcoming mod support. :)

Enjoy your game!

PS. During EA many players asked about mod support and they never received straight answer, after leaving EA developers informed community about not having any plans for Steam Workshop and mod support which sadly will have consequences for those who supported Endzone hoping for mods....

PC Specs
Game runs smoothly both on high end PC - CPU i9, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX2070 and CPU i5, 16GB RAM, GPU GeForce GTX TI 1050.

PS. All of rude, vulgar or malicious comments will be removed from my review so before you decide to comment remember to abide steam rules, otherwise your comments will be removed, thank you!

Comparing to Surviving the Aftermath from Paradox - it all depends on players expectations. I would say both games are interesting but Surviving the Aftermath offers mod support and it's more developed at this point - there is no fixed date for implementing mod support in Endzone and seeing various players comments regarding balance and some other stuff mod support at some point will be necessary.

EDIT 28.11.2020 - Endzone with every update/patch is improving more and more. Devs are regularly adding new, meaningful, and interesting content. Nothing has changed regarding listening to the community and taking into consideration players' feedback. I've already nominated it for the Steam Awards 2020. It's definitely worth buying! :)

EDIT 27.11.2021 Don't forget to check Prosperity! :)))))))))))))

Game has a lot of potential but at the same time needs much more polishing, especially in using PC resources when played (8GB RAM for high end PC with i9, RTX2070 and 32GB RAM is too much in my opinion, even with lower graphic settings RAM is used in enormous amount). Devs are fixing bugs quite often so if you like city-builders check Depraved and see for yourself how nice and refreshing can be Western theme :) I fully recommend it and support and I hope devs can optimize it better than is it now.

EDIT: Game is no longer developed and it was left with many things to do. Optimization is very bad.

This game is really good, just needs more people so if you are reading this and enjoy playing quality card games with cool hero mechanics, jump in and try it, you will like it. :)

At this point very limited but don't forget - its free and you can always edit the models in Blender if you want them to be more unique:)
