Early Access Review
Try to ignore that offputting emoji icon. This game is genuinely really well polished, goofy fun with friends.

EDIT: They removed that emoji icon. The game is better off for it.

I am extremely not normal about this game. Genuinely some of the best characters and storytelling I've ever damn seen. Took me about 20 hours on my first playthrough. I don't know what else needs to be said. it good go buy

With the simplified package for purchasing, you're basically getting like four games of content in one. Hitman 1, Hitman 2, Hitman 3, and Freelancer. Genuinely a great deal, you can easily put hundreds of hours into the game.

The gameplay of running around is good, the combat is fun once you unlock some of the moves, but the rest of the game is generally a mess. Poor story and characters, lacklustre co-op, equipment suffers from being samey, doesn't run very well on PC

Get it on sale, and you may still get some good fun out of it. I even have a lot of hours in this game, despite giving it a negative review.

beyond fruity. this here is fruit wine, and it is delicious.
(do not ask me to elaborate on that)

Honestly, you can probably guess if this game is for you from the store page alone. Took me about 14 hours to beat, doing all of the side content I could find.

An Imm-Sim so good, when I beat it, I immediately played it again on a higher difficulty. Took me 15 hours for my first playthrough, though I took an extended time after clearing a level to find as many secrets as I could've. Second time around, just under 8 hours.

On top of that, when I ran into a gamebreaking bug, the developer themself got into contact and had the issue resolved within two hours of my initial report. Lovely work.

A genuinely good rhythm game, even without the DLC.

This game started out fine, but it lost me as it went on.

My two issues are with some of the puzzles, and the issue of checkpoints.

The chapters themselves are checkpoints. They're usually rather short, so that may not seem like an issue, remember that the game runs at its own speed. If you accidentally reach a game over state, you have to wait for Quinn to type out his responses before you can try something else. This was a huge issue in one puzzle, where failure is death, and it happened at the end of the chapter. If you screw up, and you almost certainly will, you gotta wait.

And onto the puzzles, some were actually pretty good. The bad ones, though, were really bad, or downright nonsensical. The brick wall puzzle was the first of these. The map puzzle was even worse, and required information outside of the game itself to even understand. Maybe you're some sort of geographical scholar who'll know that stuff, but I wasn't. Then there's the one I mentioned with game overs in it...

And I didn't like the ending, either.

A replayable gem.

While many zombie games focus on the nitty gritty dark n' ♥♥♥♥♥♥ aspects of the apocalypse, Death Road has a great sense of humor all throughout. You can go from near death experiences to challenging bandits to a pose off, then face dilemmas such as who farted in the car?

With so many different events, you're bound to find something (or someone) you've never seen before, for a long time. I still occasionally find new events and outcomes even now!
