Ten minutes convinced me to keep my money. The functionality of the app might be good in Pro version but how the free version tries to push you to purchase it beyond annoying. Maybe if the experience with the free version was anything pleasant i might consider purchasing it.

Early Access Review
It manages to capture the feel of old arcade racers and has definitely charm to it. There's still alot to polish, has some bugs and weird control issues but it's very early days after early access release so i won't be too negative about it because it's more or less expected.

I mapped wheel and pedals into x360ce and after some tweaking it works like a charm. Wheel really gives that old arcade booth feeling.

I'm in total awe of how polished, impulsive and deep this game is. It's like a neverending christmas. At first I thought it' just another roguelike action game, but after a few attempts and some dialogue within the house of Hades, I was quickly sucked in.

Combat feels pretty ordinary at first. You swing this big sword and dash around in similar looking chambers spawning various creatures of the Underworld, pick up some powerups and eventually die. Then you do it all over again. And again, and again, and again.. you get the idea. Sounds kinda boring and repetitive? I thought so too after the first few hours but had I quit there, I would've missed one the best action games I have played in a very long time, perhaps ever.

Slowly you become more familiar with all the boons, powerups, enemies and unlock new weapons, skills, trinkets... Doing the same thing repeatedly suddenly becomes a strength as you discover new ways to build your character for each run. And how character building works is simple yet effective and surprisingly deep. Pick a weapon, a trinket and after first few boons you can have a completely different gameplay experience. And most of them work without ruining the balance. There are no clear OP builds that see you wreck the game at exit attempt 15. It's still a very skill-heavy game and requires precision and patience to finally succeed. Some builds are obviously stronger than others but it also comes down to personal preferance and playstyle. Trial by error is part of the fun.

The game is so much more than the sum of it's parts that it's difficult to thoroughly explain. It's like some magical onion with infinate layers that once peeled, give all new kinds of flavors. And not just any flavors, but flavors that play together with existing ones in surprising and great-tasting manner. It's amazing. Best twenty euros spent.

It's still missing some features you would expect from a release version and also some issues here and there. AI is behaving better after latest hotfixes but there is still room for improvement. Main problem is inconsistent speed between qualifying and race.

Brazilian Stock Cars are an absolute blast to drive and possibly the most fun I've ever had in a racing title. Throwing them around tracks such as Interlagos, Bathurst, Imola.. pure bliss. These are the main beef here with official liveries and all the tracks in the calendar. Most are completely new to me which adds to the value. You can race Spa and Monza in pretty much any other game.

There is a championship mode but unfortunately you can't customize it or create your own. I'm pretty sure this was on the list of upcoming features and something I feel is an obvious setback at the moment. While the racing itself is fun, there aren't enough game modes to support it.

Online works fine but is unfortunately quite dead. I hope it gets more crowded.

If you are looking for a great racing simulator with unique content, this is 100% a buy. Reiza really knew what they were doing when choosing the Madness engine.

+ Handling and physics are GREAT
+ FFB is very good
+ Brazilian Stock Car series is awesome
+ Official brazilian racing series such as endurance prototypes, sprintrace, stock car
+ Good number and selection of tracks
+ AI behaves pretty good
+ Stable performance, no crashes or such
+ Daylight performance is very good, runs well with older computers too

- Fictional formula cars, although well modelled and good selection of different eras
- Night racing really hurts FPS, major issues with optimization
- AI performance between practice, qualifying and race is a bit off
- Lacking in game modes
