changed my mind, game good now

They fixed most of the technical issues, rebalanced classes well and made crafting gear a bit less painful (it is still painful). I think the good outweighs the bad now so I give it a thumbs up.

The weapons and killing feel meaty and good, and the lore side of things is pretty good if a bit basic and pozzed.

The story is non-existent.

The dialogue and character interactions are recorded with gusto, but soulless compared to the banter in VT because the introduction of character customisation means there is no real chemistry or character development.

The core gameplay loop is extremely poor because of the way the gear shop works (hourly rotation to get random new gear - so you can miss out on important gear for a long time). Gear crafting is 'coming soon', which is atrocious and makes the core gameplay loop stale af.

The game is still quite unstable. Crashes are not uncommon.

The player hub is soulless.

Multiplayer features are lacking and counter intuitive (no ability to see the gear of your allies before going in mission, so gear synergy is luck of the draw).

Class balance is truly whack (4 Vet is optimal in all situations, all other classes are Vet sidekicks). Class identity is also severely lacking.

Mainly what s**ts me is the cash shop. It is full of disgusting, predatory practices you expect from a Chinese mobile game. Fatshark is also being blatantly dishonest about these practices and the game in general.

Give it a miss for a while, it gets stale fast and leaves a bad taste in your mouth at the moment. Hopefully they get their act together because the core of a good game is there.
