I used to love this game. I've played since 2018, and made countless memories and friends. It's been my escape and social outlet for a long time.

However, with the EAC update, I can no longer play. I've had to rely on mods due to my disabilities, and due to the fact that the VRChat devs have refused to add the accommodations that I and many others need. The EAC update makes us unable to use the mods we rely on, making it varyingly difficult to impossible for people with different disabilities to play.

The devs' refusal to listen to any of us on this issue is disgusting, too. I was even banned for making a post on their feedback website for explaining how the update will be harmful for people with all different kinds of disabilities.

The devs are very out of touch with their own game and community. They don't realize that most malicious users, the people they're claiming to try to stop with this update, are abusing features that came with the game, such as avatars, instead of mods. The ones that do use malicious mods bypassed EAC within two hours of the beta for the update being released onto the beta servers. They refuse to listen to their playerbase, release half-broken updates that the playerbase protests against because we realize that they're useless or bad, and then say that they're listening to us.

I loved this game, and I wish I still could, but in the past 24 hours, the devs have shown that they don't care about their players. They'd rather pat themselves on the back with one hand and push their players, especially disabled players, out the door with the other hand.

I heavily doubt that they'll successfully add the aids and support that their players need. They've been shown step-by-step how to fix multiple long-time bugs, yet refuse to do so because they don't care. They've promised to add different necessary features "soon", "in the future", and "after (update)", but those features never come. It feels like dealing with an abusive, neglectful parent who only comes around if they can get something from you.

I hope I can find the home I had in VRChat in a better game.
