Great FPS in VR.

It has been an absolute thrill to play Black Mesa front to back over the last few weeks. It is a stellar remake of the original, and exceeds all expectations. Especially the Xen chapters and the soundtrack are simply amazing. 10/10.

TLDR; If you like NFS Shift 1+2, you can buy this. It feels like a mixed bag because it probably is. Don't expect a simulation, but expect a game.

Pros:
- It plays like an actual game
- VR Support (no notable problems for me)
- Upgrade mechanics (including racing conversion mechanics from NFS Shift)
- Tracks contain more scenery

Cons:
- Driving model from PC2 is no longer present
- UI isn't great
- 'Simplified' time/weather options
- No practice or qualification rounds

Bought the deluxe version in a sale and I like it. It plays a bit like a mixed bag, but I believe that's due to the fact that it's called PC3. It looks like they took NFS Shift and pasted that into the Madness Engine. The driving model of PC2 was way tighter than this, but I believe this is also due to the fact that it's not an actual Project Cars game. However, this does feel like an actual game compared to previous versions.

So with the right expectations you can really enjoy yourself. Having no notable problems in VR, it plays very well. They must've patched the problems out probably.

Great. They really captured the essence of VR in my opinion. I was really impressed by how the mystery was presented before I noticed anything changed.

Terrible. Just a collection of generic assets.
