Gotta say, I don't really understand the hate. It's early access, it's not a polished game, but honestly it's been fun so far. I like looting, I like that it's online coop (although I haven't tried with friends yet to see how stable it is), and endless roguelites are right up my alley.

Pros: Art is really good, music is nice, gameplay is fairly simple so far but reminiscent of hyper light drifter so I find it challenging and fun. I think the idea behind having a certain number of revives before the world disappears is really cool, and having multiple minibosses and loot drops to pickup feels fun.

Cons: system performance, world feels a little empty or unpolished, some of the art assets just feel really low res in menus or like ground textures in the world. Combat could be more satisfying and punchy, particularly in the air and shooting. Enemies are kinda dumb and it's easy to run from any encounter.

Honestly my biggest thing, is if they make this into a phantasy star online type of game with roguelite elements that would be perfect. We need more rare drops that you can keep potentially forever, more character customization, maybe like optional daily side missions? Raids? Idk THE BONES ARE GOOD THO.

I'm not even halfway through the game but wow I love it. The older I get the harder it is to find games I enjoy, especially single player games. This really does bring me a sense of wonder and awe at the scale of things in game. I love exploring and good movement, and this game scratches the same itch I get for games like Breath of the Wild and Mirror's Edge. Very well put together, excellent pacing and story telling, interesting environments, and charming graphics. Can't recommend it enough.
