There is a lot to like with this game. The Sub Sim aspect is great. the modeling of the different subs available is great, and its a good experience to calculate your torpedo solution, fire, hit a few ships, sneak away unscathed. And I like the way they incorporate events in the war in your life as a submariner.

Unfortunately, the game isn't finished. There are early access level of bugs. Characters glitching out and losing their faces. spending hours lining up the perfect shot at three separate ships, only to discover all 4 of your torpedos fired and 1 even though you unchecked all but one and turned off salvo shot. suddenly getting hit 3 times by the freighter you were inspecting causing your ship to almost sink. Time dilation turning off your pumps and getting your ship almost sunk. Just a lot of issues and difficulties that I think still needs to be worked out. I look forward to changing my review when the bugs are fixed.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this game. It has what I think is the worst thing to be added to any sort of game: Level scaling. The enemies around you become harder and harder the more you play, so any progress or strength you feel gets wiped out. So it just becomes frustrated. You go to the same area you've already been to to try again on that survey you failed, and suddenly three enemies who you can't beat show up at attack you.

Once you get over the initial fun of exploring and surveying, the game drops off a cliff. The missiles target things randomly, you dont seem to do any damage with anything else. This game should probably have stayed in early access another 6 months, there's still just a lot of roughness that needs to be polished off, and the level scaling needs to be explained better.
