TLDR.: Fun game, feels good to use weapons, Story is alright (if you care), but there are problems.

Picked up the game not long ago, instantly got hooked to it for the first few hours. I love Stalkers concept and putting it into a multiplayer formet sounds awsome! Gunplay felts very nice and just all around the game looks neat and the mechanics felt good. It's a bit of a timesink to get ♥♥♥♥ done but its manageable.... until a point.

I kept stuff bellow Spoiler Free to the best of my abilities.
[Disclamer for the stuff mentioned below, gear goes from Gray->Green->Blue->Purple->Red]

So if you did the story in a decent pace, around near the halfway point, you will get to a place called The Bar. Its a safezone for BOTH Stalker and Bandit factions. It would be fun and games, but right at the get go, both factions likes to camp eachothers exits outside the bar and into the nearby areas. It wouldn't be a problem.. until you realise that most of these players already have endgame weapons and armour.. and you are still stuck with mostly green gear.. which probably gonna only tickle them. (Heard there is also cheater problems around here but i haven't ecountered anything yet). To note, the same applys to the PVE enemies in the nearby area(s), your weapons all of a sudden just doesn't deal much damage to the same mutants as before.

So you go out, try your best to sneak by and go farm for resources in the nearby areas to make better gear. Problem is this
gonna take around up to 30-60 mins at least to get some decent amount and NOW you gotta make your way back
through what was mentioned before.

If ya die, thats back to square 1 baby.

All that time of searching goes out the window, unless the guy who killed you/picked up your ♥♥♥♥ puts up your resource bag for auction (I've yet to have that happen to me and if you are hunting artifacts, you are ♥♥♥♥ out of luck). For me, this isn't realy enjoyable and i doubt everyone has 2-3+ hours doing this little lottery.

There IS suppose to be a system where people get matched with close enough gearscore, but so far i only seen this work on areas that has no safezones in them. (The guy that tried helping me couldn't get into my instances, cause he had higher end gear).

Thats my only problem rn, I LOVE this game overall, just have been stuck in this progress limbo for more hours then i wanted to and i gradually losing my interest and patience with this.

If ya can get past this, good for you and good luck the rest of the game, if ya new then just take this as a heads up warning and try getting yourself prepaired, there should be a few blue items you should be able to craft (armour and weapons wise) that gives you a better chance at overcomming this.

Good hunting Stalker, cheers!

(Ps.: Hope you enjoyed my salty pvp rant)

TLDR.: Game looks good, Gameplay feels nice, lotsa MS, the suits controls like actual mech suits (It takes time getting used to), but major problems makes it almost impossible to be played properly.

Sadly i could not get to the real experience of the game properly, cause of the awful matchmaking and for some reason after the launch cutscene before every match, my game hard crashes. After research it turns out this has been a problem for over a year with multiple players and except for the tutorial and the very limited PVE (Three 5 mins missions) you cannot play the game. Not to mention that in all my 5 hours in this game so far, 3 hours has been spent waiting for matchmaking/lobby, 1 hour for the tutorial and the rest is the pve stuff.

Through all that, i manage to get into 3 games (which all of them was custom games, casue i could not find any proper multiplayer game) and as i said before, hardcrash when loading in every time.
It makes this more depressing, that it seems that the game is still being updated. Why they cannot fix the matchmaking and technical issues is out of this world for me.

All i can say, it is at least worth to try it out for an hour or so against AI.
Aside from that, pray that you can actualy get into a match.

The gameplay and story is very enjoyable, the universe of Destiny is amazing, but if you come into this expecting you can get all that while staying F2P, then i'm sorry to say it, but that aint happening. F2P is more of a free trial, anything that made staying F2P worth it got removed years ago, now you got a skeleton of a campagin and a few side modes to play and it gets boring fast. Most of my hours i played this game was from when those content were still there. Due to this i can't enjoy this game anymore. For those who sais that "Just go buy the dlc's", well i'm sorry but not everyone has that money just available out of the blume.

TLDR:
If you can't spare the money on dlc's, don't play this game. Otherwise great game.

I'ts a great game, the gameplay is fun, weapons are punchy, sound effects are good and the music is all so great. Currently my only problem is that once you unlocked everything there isnt much reason to play and the variety feels a bit lacking to me, but other then that its amazing! Very great with friends by your side!

Lets get to the point, the number "2" on the title is a joke.

For my take and story:
I joined this game around its 2nd Halloween event and played for 3 years straight.
It was a fun time, before the game started to focus on their "competitive" side, if you can even call it that.
My break point was around when Role Queue and Echo got Released and i hardly found any point playing the game.

Now?
Well what can i say, glad i paid 60 bucks just for it to come to this, an irrelevant sequel just so they could turn it into a F2P crashgrab. All the promises they made just to met us with this. At least in OW 1 there was a drive to max out playtime as much as possible in events to get as much lootboxes as possible and have the best chance of getting the skin you wanted- Now its reduced to nothing. Don't even get me started on paying 15$ for what left over of the pve mode (and on skin prices) so you can get 2 hours of playtime.

Yeah thanks Blizzard, how did u manage to ♥♥♥♥ this one up so badly?

Remember when just playing matches (and tanks when role queue become a thing) you can get loot boxes weekly and have a chance of getting a cool skin or credits to save up for events? Yeah now have less of that and 25 credits instead of loot boxes (2000 is a legendary skin btw)

But to give some good points, gameplay is still decent, that haven't realy changed much.

My rating:
OW1 - 8/10
OW2 - 4/10

That was my rant, don't use money on this game.

Bye.

The game is great.
The Town taken by snow and time got to be my favorite part alone.
The environmental storytelling with the amazingly made environment itself with added amazing musical score ontop.
Lets just say i spent more then an hour on that section because it made me stop and think.
There is some realy cool details there, and honestly all around the mod, so i recommend keeping a keen eye out and explore.
If you love russian architextures in apocalyptic setting, you'll love it.
If i have to point out a bad thing, its in some areas in the stealth sections was a bit finicky for me.

This game worth every penny it costs, so much better then recent AAA games. GET IT!!
If you enjoy it, buy the supporter packs, that is the only micro transactions in this game and it helps the devs!

I played a lot back in the beta and it sucked me in instantly, sadly now that i actually own the game thanks to a friend, i didn't realy got around to play with the finish product a lot. I can realy recommend, even more if you have friends to do it with.

The gameplay itself is fun, but it got so manny problems.
- You have to play a specific playlist/you can't choose gamemodes
- Game keeps crashing randomly
- Explosive damage is very inconsistent (mainly with grenades)
- If you wanna make ur character somewhat unique, you HAVE to spend money.
- Rank Progression is a grind
