50 hours. 50 fu**ing hours.
That's how long I have been conquering Mordor for.
But it's also the time I spent with an Orc. His name was Shaka the Hunter.
You see, I met Shaka in the first game and decided to import him into SoW. And I tell you, we've been through hell. We've saved eachother so many times I lost count, I conquered 3 forts alongside him. For his incredible service I decided that at the end of the war I would make him an Overlord.

Or at least so I thought.

You see, right before the last mission of the game, I decided to send Shaka on a mission to kill a rival captain. SURPRISE, it's not just 1 captain, it's 4 of them waiting for him! I jump in to aid him and he deals the killing blow to one of the captains.

That's the moment I get an achievement.
"Make a captain kill his blood-brother"

This game just so decided that Shaka now all of a sudden out of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nowhere gets a blood brother, who also ambushes him.
Shaka turns around and anounces his betrayal to me. He gains the Iron Will perk, making it impossible to recruit him again. And now he is dead. Crushed by a graug.
50 hours I spent with that Orc and now he is gone. This game has given me the most intense emotional roller-coaster ride of my life.

And here I am, reconsidering to delete my entire progress and restart the game, because of a single orc that broke my heart. This game is either brilliant or I am just completely autistic. (probably both)

I have bought it on my Windows 8 (!!!) laptop and it worked perfectly. And yes, it came out in 2003 so the graphics also look like the ones from the first xbox. But it has interesting story, interesting charackters, and the 1v1 sword fights look beautiful. This game can even beat newer releases. A true masterpiece.
