Game has way, WAY too many instant death traps. Even with infinite lives, it's too hard.

In 2019, The Arcade Crew decided to make a new Contra game without Konami being attached to it. It's a fun game and a huge middle finger to Konami.

Inticreates just decided to make a Castlevania game using all their Gal Gun characters. The comedy is on par for Gal Gun, but it requires the same mentality as the classic Castlevania series instead of the later IGAvania games. Having one character use an SMG and heavy artillery was a great choice though!

I think it's time for a brand new Quake video game. This series has been dormant for too long.

Grandia is one of those underrated RPG gems of the 90's that still holds up as a fun game with a great story. The game is practically an evolution of the Lunar games, something that Game Arts has done in the past, and it really shows in the combat screens. The story of course is what would most likely cause you to invest time in the game, it's mostly just one boy finding out the secrets of their world that were lost due to the passage of time. The only real criticism of the game that I have is the actual graphics of the remaster itself. For some reason it uses a sprite smoothing filter that you cannot turn off or switch to the pixel perfect Saturn/PlayStation versions. I have a lot of saved screenshots where the sprites are either separated or altered in a weird way. And that doesn't even address what is going on with most of the textures in the game, a lot of them are in the wrong places, missing entirely, the shadows are just gone entirely for the towns, and some of them are outright corrupted or ruined from the transfer. There's a whole guide dedicated to the differences in the original versus the remaster. What I will praise is how much of a graphic upgrade most of the special moves and magic spells have been given, especially Justin's final 2 attacks. All in all, it was a lot of fun to play a game that I never really got to play when it was released and it was pretty funny to point out some of the graphical errors I was witnessing; so I highly recommend it. Now I'm off to try Grandia 2.

Bare-bones basic shooter game where you kill zombies, monsters, and a pro wrestling creature with a very phallic shaped head. You'll understand when you play the game. The only real appeal of the game is how the protagonist has magic healing sex powers. A lot of videos in the community section just refer to him as "Chad Thunder****" and I have quite a giggle every time. It's fairly short and easy, I don't know why you'd play it again if you couldn't play it one-handed. It's a very mid game that looks very amateur. I can't recommend it for everyone, it is mostly a porn game. But if you're into some freaky kinks, I'm not gonna stop you.

Nice little visual novel with a desktop game included. It's mostly just the first big story arc of the series, so if you've already watched the anime it might not be for you. There is however extra content that wasn't in the novels and is mostly just the author making drama CDs without the need for a CD courtesy of MAGES.
