I am reviewing and recommending this game based on the current early access build.

My positive recommendation is purely to show my support for this project. But I do not recommend this game for the average joe. So without further ado, on to the review.

Kynseed often gets called a "Stardew Valley" clone, ok I can see why it looks like that, but it isnt a Stardew Valley clone at all. It has many similarities true but a clone it is not.

Although not all features of this highly ambitious title are finished, the devs are active and are promising frequent updates - who doesnt? - however because these devs actually have experience in making games (ex-Lionhead Studios employees) I believe they can do it.

Kynseed promises to have stuff like: (this is what I have interpreted it as, I may be off on some points)

Multiple generations, you dont just control your "hero", get married and have children that stay as children until you delete the save and start again. No, you eventually take control of these children, you evolve your characters as you play.

You dont have to run a farm. Of course you get a bit of land to plant crops, but what you do with them then, is upto you. You can setup a stall in the town to sell them, or you can use them to craft new things you can give as gifts, or sell them instead. But you also will have the chance to own the blacksmiths, or maybe the tavern? Or the general shop. What you do is upto you.

There will be resource gathering, there will be fighting too apparently.

This is a very ambitious title, it's going to take a long time. This isnt just a copy and paste "Harvest Moon" jobby, it is a full blown Stardew Valley, meets Fable, meets Sims in a way.

Yes this is one to keep an eye out if you like these sort of games, but investing early access.. well thats something you're gunna have to work out on your own.

As it stands the game is not finished, a lot of the selling point features havent been implemented yet.

I would wait until the game gets a bit further down the line before purchasing it.

However £8 isnt a lot of money, so might be worth a shout?
