Came to Halo long after the fact - but imaginative challenges and levels, good storyline, great graphics.

Fun, immersive environment open to multiple play-throughs.

Great looking game, built around a fantastic concept. The implementation is horrible, though - the MatchMaker that puts players on each team is programmed to put the highest ranked players on the same team. (The publisher denies this, but the XVM mod group has pretty definitively proven it via statistical analysis.) If you're one of the better players, great - you get to run up your stats vs. tomatoes. But it makes for a LOT of blow-out matches that, frankly, aren't much fun for either side. There are much better options out there.

If you get a new system and forget to export your game file, you lose EVERYTHING. Steam doesn't save it for you.

A complete scam. The AI opponents continually draws power up cards you can't counter - unless, of course, you buy in-game power ups. I'd rather just pay $9.99 or something similar and enjoy balanced gameplay. This "free to play" that isn't is nothing more than a cheap con job.

The artwork is well done, and the period music creates a nice atmosphere. But the whole time you're playing the introductory rounds, you feel like you're being set up by a card shark in Vegas. Too bad.

Maybe the worst major-studio golf sim ever - and yet, the concept is fantastic. It's just so poorly executed that it's almost unplayable. The potential was there for a worthy successor to the classic Jack Nicklaus Signature Edition DOS golf sim of the 1990s - an easy to grasp course designer, the ability to upload and share your courses, and to play others'.

But the flaws are simply too deep, too significant, too central to the game experience to avoid.

Drawbacks:

- The multiplayer interface is very difficult to figure out if you want to play with friends in real time. You have to both start to play a single-player game on the same course, then add each other. Really.

- The graphics engine has blips that cause rubberbanding issues in the midst of a swing - sending your ball into a water trap or the rough based on nothing you did.

- The greens are impossible to read, inconsistent, and in some cases simply impossible to play. As Jack Nicklaus himself has said, a well-designed course rewards a good shot. Very few of the courses here do that.
