This game is unfinishable. There is a known freeze in the final boss while he disintegrates. Going through the forums, this has been known for over two years, and has never been fixed.

Avoid. Sub-par PC port.

Kero Blaster is short, with some good boss fights that feel fairly unique. However, people expecing another Cave Story are going to be disapointed; the world doesn't feel as big or as serious. Pick it up on sale; skip the soundtrack.

Theoretically, Pink Heaven is supposed to be a gamevertisement for Kero Blalster, but I'd recommend playing Kero Blaster first.

It has a great cast of characters, an amazing OST, and a deconstruction of RPG tropes.

I could nit about technicalities: the game is basically unintegrated with steam, doesn't remember various settings, and has crashing as a part of normal gameplay.

When the game threw up a launcher that spent 15 minutes downloading additional assets--after downloading 3.7 GB through Steam!--I knew I was in for a treat.

You are required to create a 3rd party account, and the implementation is wanting. They disabled paste (making it hard for me to use my 3rd party password manager) and showed no progress bar while creating the account (not responding to any input events for over 15 seconds makes you look shoddy).

The game was no better. The tutorial brought up modal dialogs with no hint about how to dimsmiss them. I broke the scripting in the tutorial three minutes in and had to restart. The main menu was extremely busy and full of advertising.

The only reason to even think about downloading this is to get the Black Rose, for TF2, a F2P game that isn't user hostile. If you do plan on installing it, do what I did: install it on an old computer you aren't using, because the game reportedly installs a keylogger (WTF!). I believe I got rid of it all with a Windows System Restore point I set before installing the game, but I'm not entirely sure, and thankfully, it's not a computer I use anymore anyway.

This one is worth a look. A combination of rhythm game/top down space shooter. I was skeptical, but it works. The soundtrack is vaguely reminiscent of early 2000s Bemani, but is a lot more on the dark/melodic trance side, less on the happy hardcore.

It's short, and it looks like they're monitizing this by additional song packs, which...I'll probably be picking up at least the first one if the core levels are any representation.

Walking Slowly: The Game.

This game features only a brief setup about some murders, mentions that tape recorders were often found nearby, and then you have to find these recorders at a recent murder sight...in the dark. Did I mention that you're doing this at night? Who goes out to search for a serial murderer at night? Seriously!

So you're given a flashlight to illuminate your way while stumbling around in the dark. If your game is based around a light mechanic, I expect it to be decently implemented. But the shadows cast by objects aren't really cast on anything; they don't even appear to be volumetric. I mean, I get that this is an indie game that was originally released on the peasant box, and some affordances need to be made: but this is the main mechanic in the entire game!

Which brings us to the maps: the darkness limits your view (which was probably the inteded effect), but the maps themselves consist of the same objects copypastad over and over again, ensuring that you'll get lost, and be unable to form a mental map of where you are and where you came from. Is this open mouthed statue that looks just like all the other open mouthed statues on the island a new one, or am I going in circles? Now imagine being asked to find eight needles in this haystack.

Surprisingly good little match three game.

The only real complaint is the use of energy mechanics in the town part of things, but you can mostly ignore that with the exception of the alchemy upgrades.

This game is a hidden gem. I bought it in a bundle, but I wish I paid full price for it. (Oh well, I guess there's always card revenue for the authors...)

Tight controls, nice pixel art, and good level/boss design.
