Kiki's story outweighed everything else that Without Within 3 had to offer, including some mistakes and reuse of artwork that was in previous parts of novel work smart, not hard, I get it.
Recommended solely because of it, since found myself asking "when does it end" for everything that was before it. Could've been more fun, considering it's a ghosthunt. Instead of that, main story is plagued with descriptions of the places that barely translates into how it appears to characters, so makes me even question why bother with doing those. Some of the places looked very interesting, but to see it, you actually have to click on link to video on YT, because novel's backgrounds kind of suck. While characters look cute with that art style, sadly backgrounds appear more like paint doodles that a child would do. Sure, this way backgrounds don't distract you from character sprites, but when art doesn't help you describe the places that for some reason you spend time trying to describe and words don't really tell much (got multiple places with only character interaction with the place "Vinty starts taking pictures of the place with her phone"), it feels like a chore having to read those.

As long as you're able to get to Kiki's story, it should be worth it.

Committing tax evasion is pretty easy and doesn't take up much time. Still fun thing to do, just don't forget to shred all of the documents. Spoliation of evidence isn't real and subpoena can't hurt you. Motion to quash? More like motion to crush!

From Joe Mama adventures I've understood that Joe was stuck in perpetual loop of pretending to talk on a phone with toy phone receiver for entire Vito's prison time just so he doesn't have to do anything to actually help him. And reloading last checkpoint loads you into same position without being able to let go off a phone.

Kiriko is my all time favorite, highly recommended for insane people who want to suicide just to deny someone a kill. Sakura Miko costume for her is also super cute and her voice announcer is very fitting.
NoName has interesting head mechanic that can be fun, but I don't use him much and I'm not too fond of his design.

Would recommend this DLC no matter what just because of Kiriko alone.

At first I did mind 800x600 resolution for windowed option, because I prefer playing novels in window that isn't borderless fullscreen, but bigger than 800x600, because with 800x600 you get to see bunch of shortcuts on your desktop (if you have any) or more of your desktop picture (unless you're one of those people with just black color fill on your desktop instead of a picture) that you would like while trying to focus on that small window and those are kinda distracting. I've got used to resolution at some point, but I still would've preferred to have other options for windowed mode.
Music is very lovely, especially liked singing one for shore route.
In some parts it was a little confusing with what your character thinks and what your character says, but I didn't mind it too much, since it clarifies itself with reaction of other character that you're speaking with most of the time.
It's nice little game with an interesting story and clean construction (liked parts that were repeating with how they were implemented).

I'm two years late to this party and I'm surprised I haven't heard of this game earlier, considering how well-made it is with design of cans, voice acting on all of them, overall visual quality of the game and amount of lore poured into it, not mentioning also musical theme made for the game by Stupendium. I've paid for worse game and this one is free, with pretty easy 100% achievements and simple, but fun minigame. Absolutely worth giving it a try.

I'm highly disappointed that you can't give rose to Mac, even tho he asks for one jokingly. Yes, I've tried. I've even sabotaged his relationship with Riley with some truth. C'mon, let Mac have gf that did beat him up very first time they've met.
Other than that, town is nicely designed with some colours here and there to help you navigate it. Alex's character design is nice as well. Rest of the cast are okay.
Story is where you get to see the cracks on otherwise fine porcelain. It starts off strong with some interesting concepts of meeting of relative that you haven't for last 8 years that snowballs into something else very fast. Then next 3 episodes you unwrap this all with baby steps one by one, just to get hit in very last episode by a lot of very meaningless flashbacks that's there to magically help main character with power of anime to overcome dying. Another thing that ticks me off is that of all people that died in the mine when Jed decided to leave people behind, he saves jacket exactly of this one that is related to main character, while other victims are here just for bodycount.
Unlike other LiS games, you get achievements for listening to memories, instead of choosing between pictures, which was another meh thing about this. Most of those memories are hard to care about and choosing between pictures was just more fun.

Game is mid, LARP episode is somewhat of a filler, last episode's flashbacks are missplaced (put them in extras or somewhere else), personally found romance interests (Steph or Ryan) to be flat and uninteresting. Get it on a sale that is no less than 50%, play someday when you wanna chill with controller because you're too lazy to do anything else. Otherwise, just skip.

No SteamCloud saves (which is marked correctly on Store page as not having one), but as one of those games that you probably will play time to time to do one or two levels, it gets annoying when you reinstall Windows and notice that this one thing from bunch of other things that you had installed was the one that didn't have it.
Generally this game is ok timewaster, but if you're playing for achievements, you'd end up replaying same thing too many times.
Quality is ugh and I disliked all of the variations of looks (3 options) for tiles.
