Shepherd’s Pie

So, this is how you spell it: Shepherd’s Pie. But, from doing a quick google search, it came to my attention that TONS of people think it’s Shepards Pie.
Irish Shepherd’s Pie

Traditional Irish Shepherd’s Pie would actually call for ground lamb. The difference between Shepherd’s Pie and Cottage Pie is the meat. Cottage Pie uses ground beef, while Shepherd’s Pie uses ground lamb.

I called this recipe Shepherd’s Pie. But, I wrote the recipe so that you could use ground beef or ground lamb.

I typically use ground beef because it is widely available. But, for a special occasion, like St. Patricks day, I would use ground lamb.
How To Make Shepherd’s Pie

(Note – The full printable recipe is at the bottom of this post)

Sauté some chopped onions in olive oil.
Add ground beef or ground lamb.

Add dried parsley, dried thyme, dried rosemary, salt, and pepper.
Stir and cook the meat mixture until the meat is browned.
Add minced garlic and Worcestershire sauce.

Cook the garlic for a minute.
Add flour and tomato paste.

Add beef broth, frozen mixed peas and carrots, and frozen corn kernels.
Simmer the meat gravy until it is thick.

Boil some peeled and chopped potatoes until they are soft.

Add butter, half & half, parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Mash the potatoes until smooth.

Pour the meat mixture into a casserole dish.
Top it with the cheesy mashed potatoes.

Bake until the meat is bubbling and the potatoes are golden.

Easy Shepherd’s Pie

Making the best Shepherd’s Pie is not difficult. But, there are a few steps to it. You have to make the meat mixture, the mashed potatoes, assemble the casserole, and bake it.

I find that the easiest way to make this dish is to work ahead. You could make the beef or lamb mixture ahead of time. Or, you could make the mashed potatoes ahead of time.

You could also make the whole recipe ahead of time. Just assemble the casserole, cover the dish, and keep it in the refrigerator until you are ready to bake it. I find it is best to bake it within 3 days of preparing it.

When you are ready to bake it, take it out of the refrigerator for about 20 minutes before you need to bake it to let it start coming to room temperature. Uncover it, and bake.

Pros:
-Relajante
-Con mucha costumización de controles y la posibilidad de conectar todo tipo de periféricos (Mandos, volantes etc.)
-El interior de los vehículos está muy trabajado
-Infinitas horas de juego
Contras:
-Se echan en falta más carreteras en lugar de tanta autopista para aportar variedad al juego
-Puede llegar a ser monótono (Es lo que tiene que sea un juego de simulación)

Clásico donde los haya. Uno de los juegos de mi infancia. Lo único que puedo decir es "WOLOLO"

Procedo a analizar el estado actual de este juego que lamentablemente cada vez mas gente estamos abandonando.

Europa Universalis4 es un juego de estrategia centrado en la gestion y expansion de una nación desde el final de la edad media hasta ya los comienzos de la edad contemporánea represéntado hechos históricos de toda esta época con bastante fidelidad dentro de lo que la libertad del juego aporta al jugador.
Las mecánicas sencillamente brillantes de este juego lo hacen uno de los mejores del género, esto unido a la compatibilidad de las partidas con otros juegos de paradox permitiéndote importarlas y exportarlas a los juegos que se encuentran en épocas contiguas.

Ahora bien todo esto teniendo en cuenta que poseas el juego COMPLETO con sus correspodientes dlc's(los que cuestan de 10€ para arriba) que aportan la verdadera variedad de mecánicas al juego haciéndo al juego vanilla INJUGABLE ya que te sentirás con las manos atadas en todo momento.
La política de dlc que Paradox tiene con este juego es completamente abusiva. Aunque de primeras suene muy bonito la costante actualizacion del juego con una parte gratuita y otra de pago, la verdad es que estas actualizaciones rompen totalmente el juego si solo dispones de la parte gratuita, ya que sin la parte de pago, la cual te ofrece de verdad nuevas mécanicas a un precio desproporcionado, séntirás que la parte gratuita te obliga a hacer una de dos cosas, o bien te compras el dlc de turno para poder disfrutar del nuevo parche o vuelves a una version anterior ya que si no te encontrarás con que no puedes jugar correctamente ya que habrá mecánicas del juego en las que literalmente "puedes mirar pero no tocar", es decir, el parche gratuito genera unos cabios en el juego que lo único que hacen es obligarte a comprar el dlc.

Y así es como se destruye un gran juego, aunque siempre nos quedarán las antiguas versiones con sus inumerables bugs muchos de ellos aún presentes en el juego.
