Very enjoyable. A little short, in my opinion, but I could play this all day. Voice acting is decent. There are really fun little mechanics. Game is simple but give you the depth if you want it.

YOU OWE IT TO US TO FIX THIS GAME. It crashes constantly. Weird bugs. Nevermind the weird choices you've done to the landscape by splitting it up in islands. Thea was such a success and deserves so much more from a sequel. Take this down and FIX IT.

I purchased this game in early access. I tried it during early access and I'll be honest, I absolutely hated it. The story was incomplete and gameplay was confusing so I put it down. I played it months after it's final release and may I just say holy freaking buttnuggets, was this game worth every early access stumble. It gave me everything I could ever want in an open world exploration game:
  • Challenge.
  • Mystery.
  • Tragedy.
  • Comedy.
  • Immersion.
  • Lore.
  • Atmosphere.
  • Variety.
  • Collection.
  • Building.
Incredible execution. Well done Devs. Your dedication is apparant in every savory detail. Thank you so very much.

I list my favorite features (avoiding spoilers):
  1. Time Capsules - What a freaking awesome idea. Can't get over it. Sooo good. A dash of multiplayer in a solo world.
  2. Enemy Variety - You tugged on my heart strings with the amount of creature design done here.
  3. Collection Nuggets - You had me dumping titanium for a lot of the little decor trinkets.
  4. The VOICE OVERS - specifically the you know what. How soothing.
  5. The Music - very chill, very enjoyable.

I eagerly await either another update, an expansion and/or a sequel. Take my money.

I wanted:
A game I could window.
Story rich.
Simple, but complex enough to keep me interested.
Customization.
Randomized events of an interesting nature.

This game truly delivered and is my latest obsession. It is impeccable quality. The voice acting is wonderful and the story is great. Combat system is lovely. I recommend!

I love this game and its seemingly endless playability. The ambience, the quests, the characters, the story... the exploration. I got more than my money's worth out of this game. It is challenging and I tend to get invested pretty quickly in whatever motivation my character has. I highly recommend.

What can I say? I didn't think I would enjoy it near as much as I actually did. I mean, for a 14.99 Beta I expected some grumps, bumps and bugs but this is an extremely polished early access. There are zones you can't enter, sure, but the combat, story and characters are well rounded and feel complete. I was also extremely happy with the level of difficulty that came with some of the puzzles and bosses. It was a very lovely weekend diversion that I will be constantly revisiting for more content.

I bought this game in hopes it would be a good investment. Let me tell you how wrong I was.

You load in and the first thing you notice is the utter s*** framerate. You can't even move with the default settings. So, fine, you decide to load up the settings and tinker with it til it is barable. Well, the game doesn't pause. So you might die to a zombie while you're trying to make the game playable.

I was in the game for less than 5 minutes before I had enough. Then the 'Cleaning Memory' screen popped up. Stayed there for at least 10 minutes before I had enough and alt-f4ed my way out of that sad excuse for a zombie game.
Do Not Buy. Looking for a good zombie pre-release? Check up on Project Zomboid.

Ever sat down at your computer and had the overwhelming urge to micromanage nomadic dwarves into a powerful, sophisticated Gimly-esque beings? I think we can safely assume EVERYONE has had this yearning at least once in their adult life. Like rain to a desert, nay, like a backscratcher to a rashy bottom finally a game to sait our buring desire.

Seriously though. This dwarven ant-farm is the perfect screen saver to have running while you study, work or do house chores. Just come back to build, reselect resources to gather and defend your keep against the various undead that swarm periodically. Each dwarf is complete with his own name and randomly selected skill. It is hard not to get attached to these bearded tomagochis.

I have and will continue to recommend this game to anyone that looks NEAR my direction.

Project Zomboid is an amazing survival game with loads of potential for later expansion. I found the "Yeah, you're gonna die. But how?!" a unique twist that keeps me playing again and again. Highly reccomend if you're looking for a good dose of gameplay over graphics.

My only nitpicks are as follows: the public servers in which hoards of zombies kill framerate and you're forced to wait in nerve wrenching 4-6 second intervals at a time to see if you got out alive. Nitpick #2: I am waiting patiently for tool tips on what the various skills and points invested do for your toon, such as Blunt weapon Maintenance, as well as in game advice as to how to improve them which is not obvious inside the game. There are guides available via alt+tab.
