Update: PSN account optional after Sony/Arrowhead reversed their decision.

Would recommend as long as this is the case. Game is fun with friends.

Runs like ass on a high end pc. MTX everywhere. Bugs, some game breaking. Can't remake char without paying or grinding.

Singleplayer game btw. Laughable. Do better Capcom. Tired of devs and publishers taking gamers for granted and half assing releases. Don't give me that crap about "oh it was in the first one, what did you expect?". The first DD got flak for it as well, and DA had it removed. How far the gaming community has fallen to accept such nonsense.

Refunded until issues are fixed and new game saves can be created. Would not recommend in its current state. Why people shill this nonsense is beyond me. Have some standards.

Pretty solid JRPG. Especially given the previous Tales of ports released on PC prior to this. Would highly recommend at this point.

Notes:
There is a DEMO you can try before you buy.

Few bugs and the existing ones have mostly been made aware to the devs already.

Runs smoothly at 60 fps. No hitches or anything.

Combat is fluid and responsive. Would recommend a controller over a KB/mouse for this type of game (and I usually prefer the KB/mouse most of the time).

Has split screen/co-op for combat (only combat).

Music/sound is WONDERFUL. Thank you Bandai for keeping the original Japanese opening theme as well.

Story is great and a refreshing change with the darker nature.

Characters are likable and so far seem to be developing well.

Difficulty can be a bit too easy for those of you who are veterans to this series or genre in general, but you can unlock harder difficulties (and I would recommend doing so if you love a challenge).

For anyone new to this series and wondering about buying the game, you DO NOT have to play the other titles to know what's going on or to follow the story. Much like Final Fantasy titles, these are basically standalone but will sometimes make subtle references to other titles in the series. Nothing that would diminish the game in any way though.

All in all it was worth the wait and worth the money.

Early Access Review
Similar to Cube World and Minecraft in playability (minus the combat system) and has a certain appeal to it graphically that Dungeon Defenders had. For the price I can safely say it's worth every penny.

Pros:
The game runs flawlessly from what I've experienced
Enough content to satisfy the pricetag, even if it is somewhat linear
Beautiful graphics
Little to no bugs so far
Easy to understand UI and progression

Cons:
Combat system (Only because you have to finish/wait for an existing action to to start/finish before dodging or anything else. This could easily be remedied with instant casting and existing action cancellation when another is triggered.)
44 islands so far and it is a little misleading on the sandbox tagging/advertising (the game generates randomly upon a new world but the islands are very small and linear to a degree, don't expect open world or the more normal sandbox titles out there)
Fps is locked at 60 and no higher (not a major issue since it's 60 fps after all and the game runs smoothly anyways)
NO key rebinding currently (though controller support is coming at least)

All in all it's the worth money and even at its current state you could easily get 50+ hours out of this.

Simply put, this game is awesome. If you liked the Left 4 Dead series then you will also love this or anything similar to that series. It runs great, the gameplay is smooth and reacts well, no glitches so far from what I can tell, the people seem friendly, the game is all around fun and enjoyable. Not a bad price either.

One of the best games on Steam money can buy!

Pros:
Endless content
No DLC
Almost completely bug free
Good AI (enemies)
Overall good community (minus vs mode)
Endless mods to pick from
Tons of servers/people still

Cons:
VS Mode is a kick friendly environment for no reason sometimes
People don't always use teamwork

Awesome game. Would definitely recommend this. I'd wait on KF2 for now though.

Pros:
Tons of content
Tons of mods
Replayability
No bugs
Reliable gameplay
Great community overall

Cons:
Lots of DLC, though not Pay2Win
Joining friends through Steam unreliable

Pros:
No bugs in the gameplay itself
Runs smooth
Challenging
Realistic
Perfectly balanced
Great for just a simple city builder game

Cons:
Lack of content in the long run (though what it does, it does perfectly)
Startup errors for some pc's

My thoughts: Buy it. It's pretty cut and dry. If you like these kinds of games (pure city builders) then this is a no brainer. If you don't or get frustrated easily due to difficulty, don't bother.
