I want to really like this game. I would not recommend buying it in it's current state and can think of better titles in this genre. However its $10 and maybe it will develop along as it progresses through early access. I like Viking/Norse themed stuff a lot, and on the surface this game should be a slam dunk for me, however it isn't - I can't recommend it in it's current state.

-Balance does not feel good even at normal difficulty
-No ability to lock out a God's blessings, builds feel very diluted and coupled with the damage/enemy scaling it makes many builds feel completely non-viable at time of writing
-Bugs: So far I have come across a bug where I cant purchase most of the skills in all of the trees

At the time of review I have just about 3 hours in, and that is enough to beat the game on normal difficulty. Do not let that fool you though. I have more hours than I care to admit on the Ace Combat Franchise. I absolutely love this game, while it may be occasionally rough around the edges (I had a truck that got under the map but it wasnt a mission critical target so whatever) - but I can tell that this game is truly a labor of love, and I imagine its a labor of love from Ace Combat Fans for Ace Combat fans. Project ACES should take note. The game looks phenomenal, the planes all feel different from each other, and the special weapons system makes sense.

TLDR, If you like any of the good Ace Combats (Basically everything excluding Assault Horizon) - buy this game.

If the developers read this, thank you so much - playing this was like reliving my childhood.

This was my first entry into the AC Franchise, and I gotta say, the gameplay is fun. However, I am completely and totally incensed that I spent $120 on a game that crashes or freezes up (I cant force close it with Task Manager either) anywhere from getting past the loading screen to randomly and without warning crashing 20 minutes into gameplay. My system more than meets the recommended hardware specifications, and there is no hardware reason for these failures.

Ubisoft, you are a AAA studio and quite frankly, I expect your products to be fully finished at launch. I am tired of trying to make this product work. Give me my money back.

This game is super hard, super rewarding, and super infuriating when Ubisofts servers conk out, and what you see on your kill cam does not reflect what you saw.

Worth a play!

This game has something for everyone. Definitely one of the best games ever made, and one of the few games where I am fully invested in the story

This is a solid game. It has really complex layers of customization that Diablo simply doesnt have. I find it to be super fun, and its one of the few games I feel compelled to find the lore thats scattered about the world.

The only con is that Path of Exile is free, if you are looking for a game like this. However, I highly highly reccomend buying this game!

This game is everything I had hoped for from the various mods I tried to use for minecraft. I am not particurlarly good at this game but I think its really fun and has a lot to offer throughout what I hope is its long lifespan. I runs really well, and looks good for its aesthetic. All in all I think it has more than $40 worth of value, especially given that it is pre-release now.

Cons- Gameplay is both engrossing, and repetetive. I sat here for 6 hours to figure out if the game has an end. It does have an end.
Difficulty doesnt scale well. The game ends up being really easy by the end.
It just needs more content- I really hope the developer will deliver.

This game might be pretty good in the future. But as it stands, the game treats you like an insipid child. Wait for this game to be out of early access to buy it.
